Actually, I was thinking about this the other day. Imagine if you could connect to a server to get your angelfood, and then burn it onto cd yourself. But it kinda takes the fun out of it, doesnt it? Plus for someone like me where the fastest connection here is dialup 56k it would be even more work trying to get it. Forget the whole notion of an ftp! _________________________________________________________________ Add photos to your e-mail with MSN 8. I might be going completely insane, but I do remember reading somewhere that Jewel wrote a song for the new Santana album. It was something like "Let's Have Fun" or "Let's Dance", I can't remember. I searched all over the internet but didn't find it. So, does anyone have this story?? oh my, am I losing it already?????????? I'm trying to build a computer for the first time. I've barely started and I already ran into some trouble. I installed the processor [p4 2.53 GHz], mounted the case [ASUS P4PE], RAM [Kingston 512 MB DDR], and video card [ati 128 9000 pro]. When doing the initial boot up to see if the cpu and motherboard are okay, I get this: Floppy disk(s) fail (40) Hardware Monitor found an error. Enter Power Setup menu for details. Then I go to the power setup menu in BIOS and the only unusual thing I find is that the CPU temp is way hot - 99 degrees C off the bat. I don't know what I did to mess up the heatsink installation, but I'm sure it is the cause. Maybe I messed up the thermal solution? Can someone please help me out? I forget, seriously... I don't want to get yelled at for being a moron, but... people with taping policies that allow trading and recording in the first place usually don't care. Jason Mraz, and others for instance. eTree is used and FTPs are also used. It's way better than trading. everyone can get more great CDs and expand their collections more easily. 56k-ers still have the option of regular b& ping and whatnot. plus it cuts down on people screwing us around, wait, and money. even though it's only postage, think of it all adding up. especially for college students with BILLLLLS. there are so many CDs out there. it'd be so much better to just be able to transfer everything online. etree is awesome. just my 2 1/2 cents.
