Also, does anyone know exactly how many times a verse has been left out while Jewel has sang on Live with Regis and Kathie Lee or Live with Regis and Kelly? She left out part of Break Me, and I believe she cut out part of Who Will Save Your Soul as well (I think it was that song, if not it was just another.) And the SNL thing... thats unforgettable lol. Sorry Jewel, we won't forget! I listen to that live clip all the time, despite the little mix up it was one of the best performances of WWSYS ever. Very fluent and upbeat and Jewel sang very well. And the band was great, sax and everything. *hums* In fact, I'm listening to it as I type this e-mail ala, so you bargain with the devil say youre ok for today and dif dof didnences... there are flowersss, we call religion our friendss... ehe. And the Sessions tape, I scoured the entire Jewel store for it, every section, and cannot find it. I did however, find out that the store recently put out an autographed print of a painting by Jewel, and a few autographed pictures of her as well. The two pictures I would've wanted most were already sold out ;(((((((((((( The pictures come with a certificate of authenticity so I'm guessing they are really autographed, not just printed on. Imagine scribbling your name on a picture and it being sold for 25 dollars. And how fast can you sign your name... Lucky Jewel lol. But your hands must be worn out by now... ;( Mark P.S. Blah I forgot to type in Jewel@smoe.org again and just sent it to Alisa... Jewel - this way (released in nov 2001 but screw you ;p) 2. Goo Goo Dolls - Gutterflower (I love this one, I love it) Im out of ideas already... Lets see.. ;p 3. Bruce Springsteen - The Rising (although there was too much hype) 4. Norah Jones - Come Away With Me (Classy stuff. Shes far beyond her actual age. The album was actually produced by Arif Mardin, who did Joy. Shes a very stand out artist compared to what we usually see. oi, im rambling.) 5. Paul Mccartney - Back In The USA (they released an album on this... all the great songs done live... Paul Mccartney has been a part of many groups, (ex: wings, the beatles) All the great songs done live together.) My TOP 5 SONGS OF 2002 1. Eminem - Lose yourself (this song isnt about hate, so dont freak out. It is powerful, amazing, and popular. Topping billboards hot 100 for the 7th week in a row..) 2. Nelly featuring Kelly Roland - Dilemma (very popular song, I love it. Kelly caries the whole song with the chorus, not Nelly.) 3. Santana featuring Michelle Branch (great song. Loved it. Well done with the vocals, instruments, and tone/feeling) 4. Jewel - Break Me (beautiful. Jewel sang extremely innocently, beautiful, and seemed so fragile. The lyrics are simplistic, yes, and the song carries a beautiful message of love, as well as a video showing another side of the song. I love them both to death. If I wasnt including popularity into how I rate the songs, this one would be at #1) 5. Avril Lavigne - Im with you (She writes her own lyrics; something not too common in today's pop world. She puts power into her voice, and shines through showing she is not just a rebel-girl image putting out very pop songs, but shes a person too. The song stuck in my head, and was able to get across to me.) I did include popularity into the top 5 songs, yeah. It is important to a song. Because if was bad, it wouldnt be loved by millions. Thats how it works. Thats it. I talk very enthusiastically about this songs/albums, but I'm still not sure if I shouldve listed some... Oh well!
