I ordered the single for Life Uncommon a couple months back and I recommend that EVERYONE buy it. Its a live performance and its amazing. The choir in the background does give it a slight gospel music feel, but despite that its amazing and only adds to the performance. Jewels voice shines. I love it. Am I getting this across to you? ^^; The other night I caught the Sessions at West 54th on CMT (Canada). I didn't know it was on so I was lucky enough to catch the last few songs. I saw her singing Life Uncommon there. The CD single was actually recorded from this performance, for those of you who didn't already know. It was also amazing, and the same quality as the CD. However, I noticed some *very* slight differences, but they were still there. Is this from the production process of the single? To make it as shiney as possible? Although the changes were extremely slight was this necesary if it was live? Let me know what you think. The rest of the show however, (I got to see the end of Face of Love, Christmas Medley, WWSYS, YWMFM, and Hands, *and* I managed to tape it) was amazing. Jewel sang a usual WWSYS (not her slightly different recent rendition), did a great performance of YWMFM, it was very emotional. I always thought of Face Of Love as a cheesy song (heard it from rosy's christmas cd), I liked it, but still thought it was cheesy. But the way her and her mother sang it on Sessions was wonderful. I loved it, and now I see the song totally different. The Christmas Medley (which was where Life Uncommon was sang) was very good, definately better than the Cd version. I checked every one of my stations guides for them to see if it was coming on again, but I had no luck. I wish I saw and got to tape the entire showw! ;( Guess I'll have to wait for next xmas again. ^^; Thats it everyone, speak up on the thread!
