When she played in lowell, ma on nov 15 she stopped during her encore to chat w the crowd & sign some autographs- well- i asked her 2 questions actually! first- i ran right up to the front of the stage & asked if she would give me her water bottle- & she did (albeit w a confused look on her face- she handed me the unopened one when i really wanted the empty one she had been drinking all night with her lipstick mark around the top! that would have been something!) second- while she was signing autographs i noticed a big ring on her hand & i asked if it was a wedding ring- to which she replied '"no" OH WAIT- i asked one more question- after she told me the ring on her finger was not a wedding ring- i then asked "Will you marry me?" she just laughed- along with everyone else in the auditorium. so while i dont know what 1 question i would ask jewel i know what 3 questions i already got to ask!!! & to top of the night- i got to lean right against the stage w a few other lucky fans as she closed the show with chime bells- that was unreal- me right there in the middle leaning against the stage & staring up at jewel- i could have reached out & touched her!! - -Matt ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 9 Dec 2002 20:23:32 -0500 (EST) From: "Christa" Subject: RE: [EDA] Favourite Jewel moment 2002 I was only lucky enough to attend one show this year, on 11/9 (one month ago today!!) in Buffalo, and it was amazing, of course. Although I didnt catch the This Way tour, I did get a chance a few years back to see one night of the Spirit tour, and judging by that, I'd have to say i prefer Jewel solo, and im sure you understand why - its much more personal that way.
