Quite worth the effort. Also quite worth the effort is my friend Jason Mraz's new cd. Highly endorsed and beloved by the SoCal EDAs of yore, Jasons debut album is simply excellent....and he thanks the EveryDay Angels in the liner notes....How cool is that? Dearest EDAs, I'm happy that Serve The Ego has reached pole position, but I have observed that in the Hot Dance Music/Club Play charts most of the songs that hit #1 suddenly fall down drastically by the next week. I can give you examples of songs which have fallen down the chart for about 5 or 6 notches after it reached #1. I hope it doesn't happen to Jewel's song. I'm also glad that Jewel is going to make a very versatile and eclectic record - and i hope it has influences of r n' b, jazz... however, i hope she adds in some latin or world music styles... MOreover, will she feature a rap artist in one of her r n' b songs? that might be weird to do, but i think that adds to her versatility as well... Or perhaps, she can rap her own verses as well... I've heard that she's become part of a rap group called *La Creme* during her early days... Lastly, I want her to win a Grammy award by February 2003... or in the future... I want her to win a Grammy... I want her to win a Grammy... My friend is taunting me because he said that an artist who produces quality music should win a Grammy... I hate the fact that she lost to LeAnn Rimes for Best New Artist in 1997... I WANT HER TO WIN A GRAMMY!!!! THAT WOULD BE IT!!!! YOURS TRULY, MAGNO S. ELENTO, JR. P.S.: "This Way", the single, is also a flop here in the Philippines. It's too cheesy and too simple for the people to bear. However, everything that comes for Jewel - I appreciate... I keep on requesting "This Way" on the radio, but the DJs ignore my text messages.... DUh, talk about lack of priority for that song... Y!
