Title: What am I? Programmers can write programs that can make things easier make things simplified Songwriters can write songs that can make the young girls cry Poets can write poetry to make us gaze up into the sky but what am I? what am I? I wonder if I can write words that can reveal all the answers I wonder If I can cause someone to change thier mind I wonder if its these simple words that could cause peace on earth but what am I? what am I? I wonder if I can write something and it becomes an addiction and people would have to read it again and again I wonder if it can be invented like the atomic bomb but instead of destruction it would cause peace but instead of hate it would be overflowing love I believe anything is possible so I might as well try I think we should all at least try something for what are you? and what am I? if we never try ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 16 Oct 2002 18:02:53 EDT From: StuartnDee@aol.com Subject: [EDA] They said the new album is underway in jewel link today!!! In most areas this program follows David Letterman, but check local listings to be sure. Jason is also performing numerous shows around the country prior to his November openers on Jewel's New Wild West Tour. Check him out! He consistently knocked out audiences during his previous stint on the road with Jewel and is worth your time. Visit www.soulcitycafe.com's calendar to find out additional scheduling information for Jason and other SCC artists. Also, Lisa Sanders, another talented singer/songwriter San Diego-ite, who was previously featured as a guest artist on Jewel's site, will soon be giving a few rare East coast performances. She is highly recommended and folks in these areas should make a point to catch her at the following intimate performances. Humm... i don't really get it but... oh >>well.. nothing anyone can do about it. Twas replied and asked: >this is an excellent point! i totally agree and this has always bothered >me! does anyone want to explain? I can certainly understand why some people would not understand this at all, but the explanation is really quite simple. Some might not agree with this, but it is why this is so, and it goes back to the very birth-pangs of this list. First and foremost this is a discussion list for people interested in the musical and creative arts of Jewel. By nature, this discussion can be negative, as well as the usually expected positive. It's only natural for "fans" of a celebrity to dislike as well as like something about the celebrity and/or their creations. I am sure we can all agree on that. Therefore, since this IS a discussion list for Jewel, negative opinions are welcome along with the obviously more desired positive opinions. However, this does NOT mean anything goes. This is a list for people who LIKE Jewel. If you ever see a post from someone saying "I hate her and her music" or someone only posts about her "attributes" as we see on other online forums, that person will be booted off the list. Also, if someone is a fan but crosses the line with a post, they will either be suspended from the list or booted off depending on the post, the persons' history etc. This is why you do not see Sean Hooks on the list anymore. He crossed the line. It pained me to boot him, as I DO like the guy and have enjoyed the times we had met at Bearsville, but I had to do what I had to do. As for other artists, POSITIVE comments about another artists are welcome, even if 100% NJC. The reason negative opinions about other artists are very much frowned upon is that they tend to be overly negative and the artist likely has fans on this list and they will be offended, and list history shows that the onlist replies to these posts tend to get heated and flame-wars often develop and things get out of hand. When NJC threads get out of hand, many subscribers get upset and rightfully so. The list does have to remain JC for the most part. That's about it in a large nutshell. Any questions or replies/comments, feel free to post or email me privately. I just looked it up and it says: Mani, the "jewel of the lotus," refers to the spark of divinity that is within the heart of every living being, and from which we receive inspiration, our feelings of love and yearnings to grow greater. The lotus refers to the gradual unfoldment of our inner being in manifested life, whether on a small or grand scale. " COOL! THat's so appropriate for Jewel. You are talking about that Celtic looking symbol on her pictures and on HGH stuff. I always liked that symbol and hearing it described it sounds absolutely perfect for Jewel. I wonder if someone brought it to her attention or how she found out about it and came to use it. _________________________________________________________________ Get a speedy connection with MSN Broadband.
