Please help Hey angels, I just recently got direct TV and I noticed that Jewel's show at Humphreys will be on TRIO again pretty soon. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone could help me out with telling me how to record from satallite. I know this can get quite complicated, but i'm sure there's someone out there who's good at all this stuff! Any help is appreciated. Thanks. I mean... you go and what?... talk about Jewel? I just don't get it. and... we could talk about Jewel on here. Or... do you all go to like.. record stores... chanting "Jewel rocks"? im not sure i understand the whole concept of a Jewel meeting, unless it is before a concert. Before a concert.. you meet up and if you have seats close to each other, cool.. if not... too bad. And i understand a meeting AFTER a concert where you can talk about how amazing the show was... so... yeah. - --Jewel Worshiper-- http://www.angelfire.com/sk/killorgeteven/pale_shade_of_grey.html (my Jewel Page) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Why are we afraid to be in love?" I know I'm being weird since I've met EDAs, who are random strangers too. But what if for that Jewel Meetup thing, there are only 2 people? Then, it's over. As for "Jewel Worshipper's" comment on the point of meeting. Not all "Jewel people" gatherings are Jewel related. Certainly not all EDA gatherings are Jewel related. Yes, we're connected because we all love Jewel and her music, but that's the connection and that's it. You can meet new people and find new friends, that's all. And since they are in the same area, you now have friends to go to Jewel concerts together if you want. Or a friend to have lunch with if you're in the area. Some get-togethers are for charitable reasons and some are just to enjoy good music, like LRCs, or just going to a concert. I don't think that just because you're meeting Jewel fans that is all you'll talk about. Of the conversations I've had with some list members here, we'll say a few things about Jewel if there is something noteworthy. Otherwise, we just talk about our lives ... if something interesting happened, if we're happy/sad that day, whatever. So, I see a service like the "meet-up" thing as potentially a good idea. I looked at the site and wandered over to the other areas that I'm interested in as well and did feel weird about the meetings because if I did attend one of them, I would not know anyone. But I mean, it's there if you want and that's the point. =) Elizabeth, the tennis-ball-whacking angel Thus conscience does make cowards of us all; And thus the native hue of resolution Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought - Shakespeare, "Hamlet" Perfect for the Jewel Kilcher Fan!
