It was recorded at table 377 from row 14 using expensive DPA 4022 microphones and a Sonosax sx-m2 preamp digital converter to DAT and then transfered to 2 CDs. It's crystal clear with a bottom end that will shake your furniture. One of the best live Jewel recordings I've ever heard! Will trade for other high quality Jewel shows from this year on CD only. Amy :-) _________________________________________________________________ MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 30 Sep 2002 22:27:28 -0700 From: Uri Cancio Subject: [EDA] Made it to the Ft lauderdale concert!! sorry, late post, I spent the whole weekend happy and , I guess drunk after I couldn't believe the luck I had in going to that private acura concert.... not going to make this long, this is how it went down: Friday came, I was desperate..the radio station gave away almost 700 tickets and I didn't even get one!..thinking back now, I should've gone to an acura dealer a while ago and try to get the tickets but I was so sure that I was going to win...oh well So...after I sent a post asking if anyone here was going (I can't believe there's so little FL EDA's on this list ) noone responded...I called the boyfriend and told him to go there and try to bullshit his way...I actually told him to tell someone a big lie , like he wanted to propose to me or something, since Jewel is my favorite artist...blah blah blah..for his luck, he never got to do that :) he called me on the way there and told me that even though he was going to try there was a bigger chance of me not going..so after I hung up I kinda drop my head and thought, "he's right..what the hell am I doing?" .... and then..I said NO...I'm going damn it! Jewel is not going to be in my city and I'm not going to see her...Impossible!! So , I started calling Acura dealers,... all of them, I made a list..first one said no, 2nd one didn't even know that there was a concert going on...I told him to go check with his super...he did...they had them!! he said, come on down and get them....wao...I couldn't believe it. But I can't get out of work, so I call the best boyfriend in the world who drove to Ft Lauderdale (20 miles) , back to the falls to get the tickets (30 miles) to go back to Ft Lauderdale and wait for me (another 30 miles) I got there like at 715pm, where I kissed him for being so cool...c'omon, what guy goes to all that trouble for a girlfriend..specially one that used to take the train from Jersey on the weekends to CBGB's in NY to see The Ramones and the B-52's when I was like 7 .. I guess my 40 yr old knows good music :0 anyway..to top it all off..we got 7th row on the left orchestra, I thought I was going to be in the bleachers ...but that's not it..seating there having my well deserved 2 drink of vodka, Jewel's people came and moved us to the third row 'cause it was empty...ha! I definitely have an angel standing by by for these sort of emergencies.. :) She sang good , but you could tell that her voice wasn't her best .. I don't care, it was amazing! Looked great, sang for 2 hours acoustic without taking a break, only to tell her famous stories behind her songs like, the Race Car Driver one..The Mexico pot one and her favorite: the Bob Dylan. The place was full to capacity, very few seats empty and a lot of people got to go to the "meet and greet" where they got all the beer and wine and appetizers they could hatch down..I wish, but can I complaint?? nah! did I say this was short? sorry mua!
