I have the oval THIS WAY TOUR sticker, with the dates on the back, the square THIS WAY stickers with dates on the back, and the round SOUL CITY CAFE stickers. E-mail me with what you want and I can tell you where to send money too. And then at the end when I write the check to Clearwater with all the $ from the stickers, I will send a reciept and a copy of the check to Mike Connell so that you know that I am not trying to steal your money. Tree's are good things especially when they go right. I'm surprised more tree's haven't been done on this list. Oh well, maybe the "Best of the Innerchange CD Tree" will get things moving as far as trading goes on this list. Really for any tree all we need is a kind soul to seed a tree and someone to administer it. The same person can seed and administer the tree or it can be done by different people. Generally the administrator does more of the leg work because he/she is responsible for the structure. If you have other fascinations try doing a search on Yahoo using keywords: CDR Trading Tree FAQ Here are some excerpts from various sites: A "Tree" is an organized trade of angelfood. It generally works in this fashion: The Source of the tree will announce the tree and ask for signups. Signups usually are called for Main Branches, Sub Branches and Leafs. The Main Branch sends blanks or trades for the source material, copies it and sends it to the Sub Branches in similar fashion, who then do the same for their leafs. It's a good idea for the new trader to stay clear of tress until you've made a few trades and have a grasp on the trading world. It's imperative to not sign up for Main or Sub Branch standing on a Tree unless you've got high quality dubbing gear, especially as concerns video trees. Another down side of the Tree method is that it lengthens the time of the trade somewhat, especially a popular or new source boot. Here are some links: http://www.harbour.sfu.ca/~hayward/van/miscellaneous/tapetrees.html http://www.thebigmusic.net/faq/van/miscellaneous/hauptteil_faq.html http://www.alarmcdtree.org/faq.html http://members.tripod.com/ledzepzoso1/treefaq.htm http://www.mcnichol.com/bnp/ Now I'm trying to step on anyone's toes especially the tree administrator's. I have participated in many many tree's on other mailing lists, and if you are unsure of what to do or if you are not able to make consistent error free copies then you shouldn't be a branch. If just a couple branches distribute a flawed burn then every leaf on that branch on down will get a flawed burn and it causes some frustration. Well that's MHO. The above links may be somewhat repetitive, but if you've never done this kind of thing before go to each link and read. Each one explains in a different way. Hope this helps and hope I'm not stepping on anyone's toes especially the administrator who was so kind to offer this angelfood. Have a good one or two... Brock *the real Jewel Phreak* P.S. Tape trees are exactly the same as cd tree's except CDR's are used instead. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 27 Aug 2002 11:08:50 -0400 (EDT) From: Megan Stewart Subject: [EDA] Vancouver, BC Show-Please Read! He felt his heart fall to the ground Since then everyday Seems to feel like winter Everything is colorless As he can't see it with her Jessica Jessica He could easily have been with her Driving home in the car It was her birthday It's sick how things work out that way Now at night when he sleeps A watch over him she keeps She whispers in his ear For his heart to hear Jessica Jessica It's amazing how a soul can leave Suddenly from a body Rendering it useless And stealing its desire to breathe One moment here then gone With no forwarding address Love no longer has a house Residence in flesh Religion without a temple No place to take your worship to No God for the eyes to see No fruit to lay at the feet of Jessica Jessica If only you were able to see The angel at your table Then you'd understand why You never got to say goodbye To Jessica There's no such word as goodbye For Jessica She's always standing by Jessica And the song "His pleasure is my Pain. A man stands in the doorway like a small child angry fists she lies on her bed her head buried in her pillow and she stares at the moon he speaks to her all the words shes heard too many times before and pretty soon she just let's his voice fade away and she thinks... This was a gradual steel frost that started with cold feet and ended with numb hearts This was once satisfying sex but now no longer is It was once filled with the possibilities of new china or old stone but now it's exagerated and waterlogged no longer what these hands had intended and still I cry in my sleep He always said I was too sensitive, but I say Chorus: at least I never meant to make him cry. At least I never meant to make him hurt that way Nooo I never meant to make him cry Never meant to make him hurt that way Yes it's true, I'm too senstive but he takes pleasure in my pain. Yes it's true, I'm too senstive but he takes pleasure in my pain. And the unheard hours they fly by she goes to the window she puts on a nightgown and brushes her hair he's already asleep by the time she goes and lays herself back down. she thinks my god, what am i doing hear? My bones have grown tired of his hunger, of his gray eyes, and I feel if I were to stay one more night here I'd die or explode or worse yet just fade away. There have been days so dark that I felt like august and that I soon too would turn to fall. he always said I was too sensitive that if I cared so much the world could kill me that way. I wonder if he's only half alive or if he's simply always been this inarticulate, cause i say And she get's out of bed and looks at her feet as though they were the wings for her freedom she gets up and goes to the door it's a moment in which anything can happen instead she gets out some clothing puts it in a bag and leaves him sleeping while she heads for the door. ~Sean~Seany~Seanathan~Seansie~Keysean~Seanefer~ ~Seanshine~SGGS~Juan~Seantie~Seandiney~Seantrel~Seve~ Yahoo! But, if I have already e-mail you saying that you will get them, you will. Within hours of my e-mail being posted, someone quickly notified the SCC Insiders, letting them know that I was attempting to profit from sticker that I had recieved at no charge, in order to promote Jewel and SCC. In suddle terms, they made me feel that I was in the wrong, and in now way used the stickers for their purposes, which is to promote Jewel. Instead of anyone asking me, they assumed that I was selling the left-over stickers that were not used. The stickers that were to be sold were given to me by another SCC Insider, who was unable to pass them out. I pass out 4 packs of SCC stickers (I initailly recieved two, but request two more). These were all passed out at concerts in Milwaukee, just days before Jewel's Milwaukee Summerfest concert. Along with the stickers, I, at my own expense, ran off 5 x 5" notes that were papercliped to each, saying the time, and stage which Jewel was to perform at. All of these were handed out after the Sheryl Crow, Train, and Tonic concerts, all just days before Jewel's concer on July 2nd. Instead of throwing the stickers away, I offered to sell them so that they would be put to good use and so that Clearwater could get a little more money. I think that the two e-mails I recieved were un-necessary, and those people should have asked what was going on instead of telling me what was going on. They made me feel like the bad guy when instead I was helping Clearwater and Jewel and helping EDA's who would love the stickers, but are not about to pay $3.00 for one of them, plus shipping. I'm sorry that I tried to help you guys out, as well as Jewel and Clearwater, and I'm sure she would have be happy that the money was going to help Clearwater. Thanks for making me feel like the bad guy for no reason. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 27 Aug 2002 17:18:44 EDT From: W1GGY2@aol.com Subject: RE: [EDA] what is a cd tree? REPOST FOLLOWING IS A REPOST OF THE ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE INNERCHANGE CD TREE FOR THOSE THAT MISSED IT. ESSENTIALLY, A TREE IS A WAY OF SHARING MUSIC WITHOUT OVER-BURDENING ANY ONE INDIVIDUAL. AN ADMINISTRATOR HAS THE MASTER COPY (CALLED THE SEED) AND HE MAKES SEVERAL COPIES FOR OTHERS (CALLED BRANCHES) WHO IN TURN MAKE SEVERAL COPIES FOR OTHERS (CALLED LEAVES). THE ONLY COSTS ARE FOR BLANKS AND POSTAGE. THE CUTOFF DATE HAS BEEN SET FOR SEPT. 7 SO GET YOUR REQUESTS IN SOON (THOUGH WITH 144 PARTICPANTS SO FAR I'M SURE YOU'LL BE ABLE TO GET COPIES IN THE FUTURE!) *********************************** Greetings, EDA's! Well, it took about 10 times longer than expected but I'm pleased to report that the Best Of The Innerchange THREE CD SET is finished and we're ready to begin taking names for the EDA list's first official CD tree. All of the material, including the bonus tracks were ripped from 1st, 2nd, or 3rd generation tapes so it's about the best quality you can find right now of this material, recorded mostly in 1994 in the early days of Jewel's career (pre-POY) by old-time list member Neal Copperman. The Innerchange songs are all taken from the "Innerchange Days" and the "More Innerchange" tapes. The bonus tracks, though low generation, are unfortunately not the greatest quality but they were included anyway because they're pretty rare and, well, I like them! They are from various other shows recorded in later years. The track list is below. If you would like to be included in this tree as either a branch or a leaf, please send the following information to Allan Ray at texaspete4@hotmail.com (not to me). Allan has kindly offered to administer this tree: Your name Your email Your location (city, state, country) Can you be a branch (burn copies for other people)? If so, how many sets of 3 are you willing to make? Please, if you can possibly offer to be a branch, do so! We expect a high demand for this set and don't want any one person to be over-burdened. Once you sign up you will be sent further instructions by Allan. If the demand is really high, we may have to have 2 "waves" which will also be explained in your confirmation email. TRACK LIST..... Dr. Hypnoto Eases Your Fears About Jewel (hilarious Atlantic promo tape sent to radio programmers encouraging them to play the then-unknown Who Will Save Your Soul) As you will note, we have left off most album material out of respect to Atlantic. The exceptions are Down So Long, which is left on in it's very rare original slow version, and Adrian, which is also rare in live performance. PLEASE NOTE: THESE CD'S ARE NEVER TO BE SOLD UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! By taking part in this tree, you are agreeing to pass on this music by gift or trade only. You will be required to send blanks and postage only (or you can work out a trade with your branch if he/she is willing). If anyone has recordings of recent live shows (particularly from the NWW tour) let me know and we might be able to do a trade. I'm planning to do J-cards for the set but will need help with putting them up on a website so people can download them. Let me know if you have a site that can accomodate this and are willing to help! Also, if anyone has any photos from the Innerchange, please let me know. Enjoy! :-) Amy N.
