(by videopro) First, I think it's really weird to be an European release only, since she's not that successful at all, there. Second, a CLUB REMIX??? I don't think Jewel would turn a song like that into something to dance, but you never know... Anyway, does anyone know anything about it, or is it just bull?? Fabio =) The GrOOvE is in the HEART! Don't know if it's true or not, but it may actually be a great way to attract some attention over there. Those silly Europeans seem to just LOVE dance music so much more than we Americans do. ;) I mean, look at Kylie Minogue... Also, this gay friend of mine told me that a dance remix of "Foolish Games" was very popular in gay clubs here in Texas a couple of years ago, I guess before Spirit came out. I've never heard it, but he'd know, lol. I HAVE heard a dance remix of "Hands" online someplace before, but it was terrible. Then again, I hate dance music so, eh. - -- __________________________________________________________ Sign-up for your own FREE Personalized E-mail at Mail.com http://www.mail.com/?sr=signup ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 24 Aug 2002 15:18:28 -0400 (EDT) From: "Karen Boysen" Subject: [EDA] NJC: Sioux City Traders Ok I have gotten a ton of requests for the Sioux City show and I am doing the best I can to get back to all of you who have emailed me and get something set up with you. Some of you seem to be in a big old rush to get your copy of the show which is understandable and I am trying to get them out in a timely fashion. Alot of you are sending your end of the trade or blanks right away when you won't be getting the show until next week or so. At this point there is no way I can tell you when you'll be getting your show, but it's not going to take forever so I'm asking that you all don't ask me when you're going to get your show, as there is no way I can know that right now. Everyone that's asked will get a copy that's all I can tell you at this point. Stop being in such a hurry people!! :) Thanks, Karen We Are Everyday Angels - Jewel Kilcher - ------------------------------------------------ Join Excite! - http://www.excite.com The most personalized portal on the Web! ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 24 Aug 2002 18:05:36 EDT From: W1GGY2@aol.com Subject: [EDA] ANNOUNCEMENT Greetings, EDA's! Well, it took about 10 times longer than expected but I'm pleased to report that the Best Of The Innerchange THREE CD SET is finished and we're ready to begin taking names for the EDA list's first official CD tree. All of the material, including the bonus tracks were ripped from 1st, 2nd, or 3rd generation tapes so it's about the best quality you can find right now of this material, recorded mostly in 1994 in the early days of Jewel's career (pre-POY) by old-time list member Neal Copperman. The Innerchange songs are all taken from the "Innerchange Days" and the "More Innerchange" tapes. The bonus tracks, though low generation, are unfortunately not the greatest quality but they were included anyway because they're pretty rare and, well, I like them! They are from various other shows recorded in later years. The track list is below. If you would like to be included in this tree as either a branch or a leaf, please send the following information to Allan Ray at texaspete4@hotmail.com (not to me). Allan has kindly offered to administer this tree: Your name Your email Your location (city, state, country) Can you be a branch (burn copies for other people)? If so, how many sets of 3 are you willing to make? Please, if you can possibly offer to be a branch, do so! We expect a high demand for this set and don't want any one person to be over-burdened. Once you sign up you will be sent further instructions by Allan. If the demand is really high, we may have to have 2 "waves" which will also be explained in your confirmation email. TRACK LIST..... DISC 1 1. Sometimes It Be That Way 2. A Housewife's Revenge 3. Star Child 4. Poem Song 5. See Sassy 6. The Man Who's Already Gone 7. 501 Beauty Queen 8. Silver Satin Wings 9. I Don't Care 10. Dr. Hypnoto Eases Your Fears About Jewel (hilarious Atlantic promo tape sent to radio programmers encouraging them to play the then-unknown Who Will Save Your Soul) As you will note, we have left off most album material out of respect to Atlantic. The exceptions are Down So Long, which is left on in it's very rare original slow version, and Adrian, which is also rare in live performance. PLEASE NOTE: THESE CD'S ARE NEVER TO BE SOLD UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! By taking part in this tree, you are agreeing to pass on this music by gift or trade only. You will be required to send blanks and postage only (or you can work out a trade with your branch if he/she is willing). If anyone has recordings of recent live shows (particularly from the NWW tour) let me know and we might be able to do a trade. I'm planning to do J-cards for the set but will need help with putting them up on a website so people can download them. Let me know if you have a site that can accomodate this and are willing to help! Also, if anyone has any photos from the Innerchange, please let me know. Enjoy! :-) Amy N. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 24 Aug 2002 20:45:04 EDT From: DixieJewelAngel@aol.com Subject: [EDA] NJC: Aimee Allen Have ya'll hear of her before?
