The guitarist, Jason, is so nice. After the Pro-Voice concert last year, I e-mailed him and asked him for guitar tabs for "Blood Red Moon" and he sent them to me. I also went to the Pro-Voice concert yesterday and was probably the only person cheering for Libbie. Before she went up to perform, there was a guitar center booth where she was singing with people who wanted to play guitar. When she was finished she walked away and I asked for an autograph then I asked her if she had any of her cds left. She said she had 1 left so I bought it. You guys have to get it. I doubt that anyone's thinking "I'd do whatever Courtney would do," but... I've always stood. I've never been to a concert and sat down at any time during the show, except for once at a Pearl Jam concert I got very very sick and had to leave, lol. I once saw Creed in concert and there was a group behind me that was sitting through the entirety of it, and...ew. It made me feel so bad because Creed has a very... I don't know, live, they're a powerhouse, and I couldn't understand how someone could sit through all of it. So when it got to one of my favorite songs (albeit, a slower song about a rape) I just decided, eh...screw 'em, and stood up. I was sitting way in the back though, so I didn't feel too bad about obstructing their view; I was enjoying myself, and when you're that far away you should expect to see very little anyway, lol. M2M thanked Jewel, and Jewel thanked M2M, but I don't think either heard the other. M2M's tech crew did come out surreptitiously during their closing number and then covered the stage, the band, the instruments and the singers with string-in-a-can while M2M gamely sang on, although Marion did go chasing after one of them... Speaking of tech crews, Jewel had her crew, of whom she said "everybody plays", come out and replace her band during "Everybody Needs Someone Sometime". Except T-Bone, who also stayed and played. I thought everyone would figure that out. Of course not everyone can get front row seats. >Also, this would really raise the whole issue of scalping and selling > >overpriced tickets of that was the mindset of everyone out there. - ----------------- What would raise the issue? Joking about getting front row seats? Not sure what you're referring to here. There's always going to be scalpers no matter who says or does what...that's just the way of life. I personally would never, nor have ever bought tickets that way. I get mine just like most people. Standing in line or online. But sometimes if you're on your game you can get great seats and maybe even front row. I never had gotten front row but I know people who have. But it's not that tough usually to get in the first 10 rows somewhere....so then you'd only have to worry about 9 rows of people at most standing up in front of you...haha _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 19 Jul 2002 13:41:48 -0700 (PDT) From: Julianne Byrd Subject: [EDA] tape trades & Tahoe shows Hey, does anyone out there have any tapes of Jewel at lilith fair, i think it was around 1997....Also, if anyone has any U.S 'This Way' shows I still have a signed SPIRIT cd and also an extra copy of Acoustic Guitar mag w/Jewel on the cover (april issue), mint condition.
