Well The toledo show was great. Nothing is better than seeing her live in concert. I was very excited, because I brought my flowres up to the stage. I asked the Sec guard if I could put them on the stage and he was very nice and said yes...but wouldn't let me walk up to the center of the stage where she was standing. I was so nervous that I just set them on the stage and didn't even look up to try to make ete contact. i was kicking my self through the whole show! But everything worked out in the end. because after Jewel was all done we waited around to see if she would come out...well there were so many people waiting and they were kicking everyone out so we just decided to leave.... well we decided not to give up quite yet. My fiance knows how much I wanted to meet Jewel, so we walked around to try to see a back exit. Well there was, and you could see her huge tour bus behind the gate. So we waited a while with a small group of people, and what do you know sure enough out comes Jewel (and cutey Ty) Well we called her over, and she came and started signing autographs. She answered a couple question (Are you making a new album any time soon? "not right at the moment") She was so sweet. I think she tried to sign everyones stuff. She was also very personable. I was so excited cause I said thank you and she said your welcome and you have no idea how much that excited me. I know I know I am a dork!! Well I did take some pictures but it was really dark and I didn't have a flash, however she was like a foot in front of me. They are going to hour developemnt tomorrow! Ok I will go know sorry for the rambling...it was just one of the best days of my life. A dream come true!!! Have a wonderful day! I can't wait for the Chicago show now! yeah!!!! I have added a few real audio files which are remixes of Jewel's songs... "Hands" and "standing still." Also... um... some answering machine message and others. Go check it out! :) ~me http://www.angelfire.com/sk/killorgeteven/pale_shade_of_grey.html (my Jewel Page) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "I mean, the way she dresses would you walk around the street in a fuckin' bra? I'm not trying to dis anyone, but with me, the clothes I wear onstage are the clothes I would wear to school or go shopping. I'm not gonna go up onstage and dress different. Britney Spears goes up onstage and dresses like a showgirl. She's not being herself up there because she's dancing like a ho. Is she ho? She says she's a virgin. Y'know, it's just not clicking. She's doing one thing and saying another thing, y'know? It's definitely not what I'm going to do." --Avril Lavigne _________________________________________________________________ Join the worlds largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 7 Jul 2002 21:33:13 -0400 From: "Lindsay" Subject: [EDA] lookin for another pic hey again. just wondering if any of you know where this pic came from-- magazine, promo, etc.. http://www.elevated23.com/wanted_jewel2.jpg if you can help, it would be appreciated. thanks a lot. - --Lindsay ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 7 Jul 2002 22:26:33 -0400 From: "David & Beth" Subject: [EDA] Jewel article on Yahoo Your files are attached and ready to send with this message. I tried to request This Way on two stations tonight while I was driving home. The first one, which was mostly top 40 pop Britney type stuff said that they didn't have This Way, so I asked for Break Me which they said they would try to play (yeah...). The next station I called was more of an adult contemporary station and they said that they had NONE of Jewel's songs off of the new album, which really suprised me because they seem like the type of station that would play Jewel. I requested Who Will Save Your Soul, but then was told that since it was "love songs at night" that they couldn't play it...this is where I gave up! Anyway, my question is, does anyone know how stations get songs...do they buy them from the record label or does the label give them out to certain stations or what? And why would a station that really seems like a "Jewel friendly" station not have her new album. The pop station I can understand not playing her, but they at least had Break Me and I assume Standing Still. The other station definitly plays her old songs so I don't get why they would not have anything from her new album. ~Claire ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 7 Jul 2002 23:52:49 EDT From: LuckyStarr42@aol.com Subject: Re: [EDA] Jewel's outfits.... I'm glad you asked cause I love Jewel's clothes too and I'd like to see if anyone knows where to buy them. I am in love with her boots and I found some cute Steve Maddens for $100 and some Candies for $70 for those who don't want to spend as much. At the concert I went to she was wearing an awesome denim skirt with two belts which I plan on buying.... I was just wondering how you made Jewel skirts? Like are you talking about the denim ones? You'll have to tell me how to make some cause I am so obsessed with clothes and I want to make myself a Jewel outfit!!! xoxo Ashley Staggers the *sweet * Pi Beta Phi angel ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 08 Jul 2002 04:03:56 +0000 From: "Fatimah Jess Ahlam" Subject: Re: [EDA] Funny twist on Minneapolis show!
