I've been on this list as a lurker off and on for about four years and he was on it for most of that time. I don't recognize a lot of the names on the list today from 1997-98. Some new tickets for Friday's show in Toronto just became available on ticketmaster - non-obstructed view balcony seats. They're probably really limited though so hurry if you missed out before. It's a REALLY intimate venue so basically any seat in the house is "close". I'm counting down the days... The floor at the Nautica Pavilion in Cleveland is sold out. Only obstructed view box seats are available for the Chicago Theatre show. The show at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre is selling really well. About 50 of the 60 rows of seats are practically sold out, and the lawn is really cheap comparatively, so it's presumably going to be quite full as well. It's a huge venue (about 20 000 I think) so that's impressive. Apparently the shows in NY and NJ weren't too bad. Not sold out by any means, but a respectable crowd... so that's ok. I wish all the theatres were sold out by now though, cause it's not like they're big. later Steve ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 25 Jun 2002 15:37:09 EDT From: SullMa84@aol.com Subject: [EDA] I know no-one cares, but... I've noticed from reading the setlists that Jewel's solo sets are quite short and only include one request at the most. So I thought it might be a good idea for everyone who's going to the Chicago show to agree on a song to request when (or if) Jewel asks. I figure if a bunch of us in the front rows (I'm in row DD) request the same song, we have a good shot at getting it played. My suggestion would be Violet Eyes or 1,000 Miles. They're both relatively obscure songs and I think it would be hilarious if a bunch of us were yelling for a song most of the audience had never heard of. What do you guys think? It is so hard to come up with a song that doesnt require any strumming at all. She can't do it. It is very funny to see people's reactions when they don't know a song. Sing along to cold song, then look around at the people in the crowd. Either they are jealous because you know it, or they have this rediculous grinon their face ;) - --- abbakil wrote: > Hi all. > > I've noticed from reading the setlists that Jewel's > solo sets are quite > short and only include one request at the most. In 1999 I managed to get mine in to The Woodlands Pavilion in Houston. I won't say how though. ;-) I was in the center pit area and the security guard didn't even care that I was taking pics. In fact, she let me stand over in the aisle to get better ones. It's the guards at the gate that you have to worry about mainly.
