I just have the feeling that we all miss jewel so much, i would hoped that we could have gone to the USA to travel like a group of loyal dedicated fans! It is already more than nice that i go to see jewel in the states! Jewel is my hero and soon a wonderful wonderful 70x100cm photo of Jewel will arrive at my house !This will get a special place in my Jewelland house ! Jewel will always inspire me! Any Jewelfan that comes to holland one day is more than welcome to come and watch the Jewelland museum! I will try to ask some admission as well!!! Or how Francois told me mind the gap Jewel rocks, and i miss the meetings and chats with my english and european fans! For me personally i feel a little empty although i know that jewel is inside my heart forever! Her music rocks and i am happy and proud that jewel4s music is getting a lot of airplay in holland Skyradio, Yorinfm, and Cityfm keep playing Standing still! I am very sure that this way the new single of jewel will be released in holland , if it is released in germany then it should be released in holland as well! is there any jewelfan that wants to sign my guestbook I still miss some entries, and Rachel when you can write messages to the teletext pages for Jewel than i can hope that you find some time for my guestbook! In the end only kindness matters!! she never looked back. She always looked good dressed in black! it is so cool that Jewel4s official site is sharing the nice sound files of her concerts ! But let4s hope they won4t forget to release a live cd or live dvd from the concerts! The setlists of the american concerts are nice, i like the fact that jewel plays accoustic songs and that she reads stories from her poetrybook A night without armor! Next time when she is in Europe will we bring her lyricbook with us and request her to read poems! On the early show she still told the crowd that she is writing love poems! Jewel is so much love and so much woman that i really hope to read her stories, as jewel is my funny valentine! Jewel will rock my heart, i will remember her forever! Her concerts are the bomb, and i miss that feeling!!! Need to be away of Jewel4s live concerts still another 10 weeks.. Let4s hope time flies!! And i hope that my site will get soon the story of Jewel at the royal festival hall! I will also scan my photobooks and memories for her Spirit world tour in may 1999 in europe! i will listen to my music of those nights and post stories of that special first impressions that i had with jewel as well! We are gods eyes, gods hands.......we are......we are reflections of god......gods hands.......god eyes! Jewel can really ROCK! I always knew she had it in her and WOW, she let it out SO COOL! It almost seemed as if she was singing better without a guitar? Nahhhhh! And get this, Jewel CAN dance, or at least she looks great trying too. If you aren't planning to see her on this tour, you really should make plans to do so. I won't go back over the setlist and stuff as I think Shawn and Michelle have done a great job of that, Thanks! It was my second time seeing Jewel live: The first time was at the Nashville bash (what a great time with the EDA's!). I miss I couldn't meet Shawn and Michelle and all the other EDA's in Atlanta (who are you?), hopefully next time? But I could hear you all and loved it! I would also have preferred a smaller venue where I could have seen Jewel, but how can anything compare to my first time in Nashville that Jewel put together just for us? I understand how they need a big crowd to pay for everything but I was lonely for the old days of Jewel up close in a small room full of nothing but other Jewel fanatics! Oh yea, there were definitely some 'old' folks at this one. I couldn't do any dancing, I guess I might be seen as one of them 'old people', I'm not telling, except that Dennis or Alan might be close to my age. At the show, I was about halfway back, too far back to see Jewel clearly, and I was hemmed in on all sides by the 'old people' with their little tables of food and wine so dancing was not an option. It was quite 'preppy'. Even so, it was all worth it! The sound was great and I did get the chance to educate a few of them 'old folks' about the real Jewel, our Jewel. They kept saying "She's so funny... Wow, she can rock? Is 'This Way' a new song? I didn't know she did country! Why are those people yelling songs we never heard before? and my personal favorite: Why doesn't Jewel's albums sound like THIS?" Good question. Why, a couple of times during the new wild west I caught them actually gettin' down and tapping their feet! And yes, any song other than the radio singles were new for them. One really cute 'old' couple (they were maybe 35?) couldn't believe that Jewel has so many songs that she hasn't recorded. I told them the story about Race Car Driver (I yelled out for that one too) and some others. I think after that show they had a new idea about Jewel, and abra cadabra: A 'nother Jewel fanatic or two were born that night! Before the show started I told them that they were gonna be blown away if they had never seen Jewel live before, just like Larry and Jerry told me before the show in Nashville. Everyone I talked to who had never seen Jewel live, were converted fanatics after that show, THANK YOU JEWEL! Ok, time for me to go take my 'meds' now so I can fit back into the world of non-jewel old people in the morning. Love ya Jewel! Love ya EDA's! - -John Jewel is such a rush! ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V7 #281 ***************************
