M2M was really good, I loved them they sound aweseome live, except the audience wasn't really into them they played for like 30 mins. then jewel came on she was wearing white pants with a white shirt with flowers she looked soooo pretty! she played I wont walk away first then the others were standing still, jesus loves you, everybody needs somebody sometime, lmjlma.serve the ego, grey matter, new wild west, twroor, this way(next single),ywmfm, wysys, morning song, down so long, life uncommon, the other woman, foolish games, little sister and hands...i belive thats all not in that order i dont remember what order lol but she played guitar for like 3 songs, and at the end she said her arm was hurting really bad....um i got there really early and got to see her do soundcheck i came SO FREAKING CLOSE to meeting her! AH ...anyways i met a police officer there and came friends with him, and then he said he would get me an autograph since i came from alabama and my brthday was yesterday 16th and since i missed my graduation, but he didn't get to get it he said that jewel doesn't like police officers or something...he said she was bitchy...he made me mad :( anyway she told us to shut up twice lol, when she sang grey matter and another song dont remember...and when we first got there it was after the concert started or whatever and everyone was getting there and moving around and she said "dont you know what time the concert started doesn't it say 8 on the ticket" hehe...shes funny anyway it was really good she was into every song and performed awesome! Hey angels, I thought that I'd tell about everything I could remember about the concert, but bottom line....IT WAS AMAZING!!! I think I'm gonna do as Shawney did. The Ride There: It was...interesting. lol. Since the roads in Atl. changed we ended up getting lost, but got there right in time. Jewel: Jewel wasn't as talkative as she usually is, but she seemed happy. She was really warm towards the audience. She looked wonderful and thin! She wore white pants w/ a red flowery tank and, I think, red pointed boots. Her voice was gorgeous and strong, she did a lot of diff. ranges through the concert and did a lot of the rock-sounding screamin (which I love the most). She also did a lot of moving around and dancing, like she was really feeling the audience. She also let the audience sing a couple times. She let her band members have more spotlight then last concert I went to in 99. She was a sweetheart! The Audience: We were all pretty loud and Jewel had to tell us to shut up about 10 times! No one would dance or get up, but they did sing. Most of the audience was old and a lot of the people really didn't look like Jewel fans to me because they were a lot more preppy. The Concert: It was a blast! I brought my recorder in a sat it against the benches and recorded most of the concert. I also brought my camera and used the flash, but after taken literally 25 pics the Event Staff caught me. It was enjoyable most of the time except for the drunks in front of us who kept holding up a blowup doll right in front of us. We also snuck up to table seating when we were supposed to be in the orchestra seating. I also got a This Way Tour shirt! It was great! lol. Ok, ok I'll stop talking about that and talk about the setlist. I don't know the exact order, I'll have to run through my tape but she sang... Not in the right order, but... Leaving: As we were leaving Jewel signed some autographs for people in the front rows, but couldn't sign as she was leaving through the door b/c, as one of the security guys said, her flights got switched so she had to take a plane right after. The ride leaving was boring b/c everyone was tired. My mom went w/ me and she usually hates Jewel, but said that Jewel's music was a lot more enjoyable and her voice was MUCH better. She also agreed that Jewel lost weight, but said she looked really nice. Anyway, just thought I'd let u know what my mom, a big NON-JEWEL fan thought. That's just from my point of view about everything.
