I generally don't like morphing in videos, but I think it works in the Break Me video. I also like the concept in general, and the way it matches the song (in that it doesn't, but it does). I have to say I agree with Sean that two of her best videos are still WWSYS and YWMFM.. mainly for their ideas. However, Down So Long? Standing Still? Those are two of her WORST videos. Down So Long was trying to repeat the same concept of You Were Meant For Me, by using semi-abstract symbols and setups to emphasis the tone/idea of the song. Parts of it worked.. the beginning, and the end. But for the most part it was pretty uncreative and uninteresting. And Standing Still is hands down her worst video. The concept is cheesy, it's badly directed, and the cinematography is really bad. It looks really cheap. Jupiter and Foolish Games are two of her best videos. They're overdramatic, but that's the whole point... they're stylised. They're two of her best looking videos. Plus I like the concept of both of them. But I like Break Me a lot. It's a good idea, and it's well executed. And Jewel looks good. Very simple and elegant, but pretty. Plus I can't remember the last time I saw a video that was just one shot (or had the illusion of being just one shot).... plus it's time Jewel started making music videos with more of a message or a point. I'm getting tired of "Jewel drives around in her convertible and thinks she sees her boyfriend who she misses a lot!"... or "Jewel makes out with some guy in the snow as an owl looks on!"...
