I had no problems getting tickets, and good seats, to two different venues. I have a crappy old computer and had no problems with the Ticketmaster site, and the jewel-link email was very concise with all the instructions and passwords and all that. I was initially critical of this idea because it wasn't a pre-sale, it was a same day thing. Once it became truly "preferential treatment," it gained in its relevance and was truly treating the "hardcore fan" to an opportunity. Plus, good seats will still be readily available once the tickets go onsale to the general public via Ticketmaster. So, no criticisms from me on this one. The pre-sale seems to be a hit. I think it'd be better if it didn't absolutely require the internet, but the logistics of allowing phone or walk up orders would be difficult. Anyway, congrats to however honed this down and got it up and running. Hopefully, the same opportunity is made available for the rumored solo acoustic tour in the fall. So I left drove Jack to preschool and started a new account and they finally let me get them. First I got row H and since I was being spoiled I tried again a couple times and got row D. I just keep thinking how great my seats would have been if Ticket master didn't mess with me! (It just confused me cause you can redial on the phone as many times as you want.) Don't like the tickets it gives you? Cancel and try again. Granted, you gotta settle for something before they all sell out, but I was able to get 5th and 8th row tickets to two different venues. The tickets I got were Row K, (11th row) and I bought them out of fear that I would not find anything better. So then after I bought those, for the hell of it, I decided to keep trying to see what else I could get. The rows went to M, then N, then Q, then V, Then I decided to keep trying I would try 4 more times, to get row G, row D, row B, and then I managed to pop up row A tickets. This is the monday 20th of may.. Only thing i feel strange about is that when the truck with Jewel4s guitars need to be transported this can4t be easily done with in four hours. To rebuilt the stage, and than to come back to Paris and buil the stage in time.. I guess two trucks are needed that day and also two set of guitars....or jewel will play only accoustic in Paris :) I am not sure if i am going by car to both pinkpop and paris on one day. It is not easy to drive 200 kilomters to Pinkpop from amsterdam and than another 415 kilometers to Paris.... It would be fun to go to both concerts, but i guess the pinkpop concert will be really sold out.....that means a lot of fans and how do you get close to the stage, i would say that is nearly impossible with thousands of fans (60000 people) are estimated to come to this concerts.... So maybe it is wiser to sell my ticket for PINKPOP rather than to go to pinkpop and paris.. maybe reasonable sense needs to be considered....but it is hard to think so when you are a dedicated fan of jewel and i want to enjoy her at the festival in pinkpop netherlands. are there any fans on the list that are going to the festival on monday and want to see jewel in paris. i can arrange a ticket for the jewel concert on the 20th of may in paris. i hope that some fan is crazy enough to go with me to both shows! does any have a clue/advice for me :) bye michiel Yahoo!
