Hey, guys, As previously announced in the last EveryDay Angels Foundation newsletter, April 20th & 21st is going to be an EDAF weekend in New Jersey. On Saturday the 20th we are doing our bi-annual beach sweep at our adopted beach in South Amboy (aka Angel Beach). More info on this will be forthcoming. Sunday the 21st is the annual MS Walk. Team EDAF has entered the Walk for the past 3 years, raising over $3,000 so far. You can participate in this event even if you don't live in the area in one of 3 ways: 1) Join the Jersey Walk. To join the EveryDay Angels Foundation's Team go to: https://www.nationalmssociety.org/walk/step1.asp?EventID=1058 Team code: 7334 The team captain is Melanie Cobb and we are walking in Freehold at Errickson School. (NOTE: when filling out the form I encountered a required answer that had no question. When I left it blank my whole registration ended up getting voided, so just answer "no" if you get the same thing.) 2) Make a donation. To sponsor me (Amy K. Neufeld) go to https://www.nationalmssociety.org/pledge/pledge.asp?ParticipantID=63804 3) Join a Walk in your area. Go to http://www.nationalmssociety.org to find a local event (you can even start your own EveryDay Angels Foundation team). For more information about the National MS Society go to: http://www.nationalmssociety.org/ ******Every hour someone is diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) a chronic disease of the central nervous system affecting the brain and spinal cord.****** Please contact me at w1ggy2@aol.com if you plan to participate in any or all segments of the weekend. Many people will be sleeping over at the Campbells (as usual!) so it should be a blast. Please contact Tammy Campbell at tlcathome@aol.com if you have any questions or plan to stay Friday and/or Saturday night. Hope everyone's respective holidays were great! If I've left anything out (quite likely) let me know! - --Amy **************************************************************** For more info on the EveryDay Angels Foundation go to www.edaf.org **************************************************************** ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 02 Apr 2002 18:37:14 -0500 From: JewelWilcher@aol.com Subject: Re: [EDA] Advice Regarding the Piano and Guitar Hi, I think it's probably easier to work on an acoustic guitar. That is if you aren't too familiar with either one. If you're just starting out and learning to play music, guitar is easier to get into. I think the question is really though, do you wanna be like Jewel and play guitar, like Tori and play the piano, or like Sarah Mac and play both? (: Have a nice day, - - wilcher ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 2 Apr 2002 18:51:00 EST From: Fredsteve@aol.com Subject: [EDA] Break Me Video/Ticketmaster Hey Guys Well, the Break Me video has been "in production" for like a month now!! It better be a major opus ... cause it's taking quite a while to finish. I think it'd be cool if Jewel did a super artsy video that played more like a mini-movie and not just like a 3 minute commercial for the song. Standing Still was pretty dissapointing...... the cinematography was boring and it was just kinda of... boring. Her first few videos were a lot better. I think the director of Break Me has a done videos for more independant bands in the past (Tricky comes to mind)...so maybe it'll be really cool. They need to release it soon though. The song is really struggling at radio. Not even Adult stations have been embracing it in any major way. It's definitely a song that will need a while to grow... but everybody should be calling in and requesting daily, cause that'll really help I think. Radio stations just need to be pushed to play it a couple of times.. and then I'm sure that it will catch on. It's the kind of song that has proven to be very emotionally affecting to listeners in the past. Another thing - Ticketmaster is REALLY weird when it comes to allocating seats. Often you'll wind up finding better seats like 2 days after your purchased. I think they do them in blocks ... but they don't necessarily go front-back... it's more complicated. I don't know.. but I've had that problem quite a few times. I think you'll find that if you call the Ticketmaster place you'll get better seats cause the person actually allocates for you personally. (i have to give my dad the money so i can use his credit card *dag nabbit!*) and they had no idea that Jewel had confirmed the date on her website or when tickets were going on sale. Anyone bought a clue on what the deal with this is? I clicked on 2 tickets best available, and i was given ROW W. i went ahead and accepted these tickets, trying to figure out how the heck i was already in Row W, it wasn't even 10:01 yet! WEll my credit card didn't go through, because i forgot to update my credit card, suddenly they released mytickets, and i had to start over. At this point i looked at the clock and it was 10:06 my next tickets were for ROW U which is one row infront of the First seats i was assigned. I thought that was a little odd. Not wanting to chance saying no, incase i would get horrible tickets a third time... So i accepted the tickets... It them went to a window that said they accepted my request, and my tickets would be mailed to me. I look down, and see that i was givin ROW AA Originally, it was PAVILLION 6, and now i was in the front of PAVILLION 7. I didn't ask, i will accept ROW AA :) But, how on earth did people get PIT seats!!???!!??? Either way, im happy, and i think this was VERY nice of the J-Team to do for the streetteam, and the Jewelink members. i can't wait to see what concerts are on tomorrows... she is playing 3 cities in OHIO!
