I just checked ticketmaster and most shows range from about $30-$50! That's before the extra $10 or so that ticketmaster charges for a service fee. And the Livermore acoustic show starts at $59, and goes up to $209! Unbelievable. The Caesar's show isn't quite that bad ranging from $45-60. I thought the solo shows might be less overall since there isn't a band to pay, less crew people, less equipment, etc. But I guess that isn't going to be the case. I know alot of younger people can't afford those kinds of prices, or people in college like me, I mean it's tough to save up an extra $50 bucks. Too bad we all can't get some kind of discount along with the preferred seating. ~Stacey~ _________________________________________________________________ Join the worlds largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 29 Mar 2002 00:37:36 -0800 From: "Jewel Fan" Subject: Re: [EDA] Jewel look a like on aim eww... It says tickets will be on sale to non-members April 7th. Unless they set up something different, the very front row is reserved for sale to the general public. Not private members. Any one who can make it to any of these shows I suggest you do. It is great place that has been on top the Silicon Valley foot hills since the beginning of the 1900's. Great view, great wine, historic buildings, and most of all a comfortable and interactive venue. =) ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 29 Mar 2002 10:24:17 -0500 From: shawneyeda@juno.com Subject: [EDA] Service charges how much are service charges? does it depend on the ticket price, cause when i bought my Nelly Furtado tickets the service charges were 6.50. love ya, shawney the hippie angel "But I'm lost to you now, and there's no amount of reason that could save me.So break me, take me, just let me feel your arms again."- Jewel "So leave out the others baby, say I'm the only one."- Pete Yorn "Cause you know I'd walk a thousand miles if I could just see you tonight. It's always times like these when I think of you, and I wonder if you ever think of me."- Vanessa Carlton ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! I would kill to be able to see Jewel, Ryan Adams, John Mayer, the Goo Goo Dolls, Sheryl Crowe and others in the same freaking venue in one day. I'm so insanely jealous........ who's going to this? you must give as many details as you can so I (and other unlucky non-Californians) may possibly try in vain to vicariously live through you. Geez--- you dont get anything like this in KANSAS. All our festival type concerts have so much teeny bopper crap. These are quality musicians/ songwriters. These dates designate when tickets will become available for sale to the general public and are subject to change. They have no bearing on our JeweLink/Street Team pre-sale preferred ticket plan. Several more dates on Jewel's solo acoustic tour, planned for next Fall, have also been added to the calendar, with more to come.
