Some days it's dozens, other days it's hundreds. On rare days it's thousands. Just like retuned mail that is "returned to sender", email sent to subscribers than cannot be delivered, for a variety of reasons, get sent right back to me. If a certain email address, such as Pablo's did, returns MANY and continues to do so, something is wrong with that account at the moment, Usually it is either a dead account, or a full account. In either case, I move the person to digest so less email is returned. (if the list had 50 emails that day, there would be 50 returned emails, once I move them to digest, it's one or two a day that are returned.). When on digest if it continues to bounce for many days, I eventually remove them altogether. So, anytime anyone here suddenly finds themselves on digest, it's because their account was returning many emails. At that time feel free to move back to the regular version (called loosemail). I went to Berlin after i have seen Jewel live in Hamburg on the 13th of february. Jewel was in the city where once was a large wall. The song from pink floyd, another brick in the wall... Jewel paid a visit for the second time to Berlin, the first time she was in Berlin was may 1999. I went to see her at that time as well.. The project this time of Jewel was to promote her record this way on german TV. She was invited by Arte to do a special with Donovan. They are both singer songwriters, with their own styles! But both want to accomplish something, to tell a story in society. Jewel 4s stories are for me more nice because i am a fan of Jewel forever. Jewel was very sweet that day. I drove 700 kilometers, i had started my voyage to late so i had to rush on german motorways (highways), but i was just in time there. The door opened at 7 o4clock and i arrived at 6.15 o4clock. The venue was nice, it was some kind of old factory i would say....they had beatiful seats with tables and i was sitting on the left of the stage. Jewel was very close to my heart, i had brought once again a special letter with me for Jewel after my succes with my valentine letter and teddybear. Jewel started with I won4t walk away. As soon as this song starts, i really like the words and the band sound. Jewel is great with lyrics and her voice is terrific. She started to sing Standing still, one of my favourites of the record. And i guess a very very big hit would be Till we run out of road. Jewel is phenomenal, she played her Cowboy waltz once again for her fans and she remembers it to have written it for her daddy. Jewel is very good with guitar and words. She is romantic, she is tender and above all she is to be adored in concert. Everybody is silent when it is necessary and at all moments i really feel very happy. She wanted to sing that night a boy needs a bike, a song she performed once and then during 1997 and the mtv unplugged show. She had the request for the song heard in hamburg, the other concert i have been to. And she asked to me because she saw me sitting in the crowd if i could help her with the lyrics. I told her, i will try. She says are you really positive that you can pull this job of or do i pressure you ??? haha lol isn4t it, she started to sing it and it went really well , it is a beautiful song. maybe she was helped a little by the soundmen :) during the night Jewel played also the song break me (her new hit !!!, so break me , take me, kiss me once , kiss me twice, oh it felt never so nice!) ! The new wild west is also cool and she is proud of her rock and roll sound when she started to jam on the electrical guitars with the love me just leave me alone song. Jewel always enjoys it a lot, she is doing a nice job with everybody needs someone sometime. Those songs are well written and jewel is the best live performer. Her accents on the songs and the way she interprets songs make it always a different fairytale. Jewel is still enjoying her song who will save your soul, with simon she always has a game with the choirds and than jewel tries to sing them in the same fashion! This night was great, and after the show ended , jewel came back and the crowd was happy. she played angel standing by and we were all amazed by the song. She came back once again on her socks and she was thinking i finished a show didn4t i??? she starts to sign and asks me when i gave her my written letter if i come to see her shows in amsterdam and london. isn4t that cool, jewel remembers me going to different shows, me the dutch jewelfan happy as always when i see jewel live in concert... one great night is over, and after the concert i miss jewel and i am thinking and remembering the night as a truly beautiful day! i have seen jewel once again live on stage, and i can watch the tape from the arte tv show taping so now and then back and remember it all...
