I just wanna be pretty and blonde and popular and wear lots of make-up and sing about guys treating me like shit)) with Flea and Daniel Lanois(who's Daniel Lanois? is he a Backstreet Boy?) anybody heard that one? But Break Me'll be popular and that's what we want for Jewel after all and it'll be just like the good old days and how we loved You Were Meant For Me, That song sucked! It's one of her worst songs but at least it has 2 good lines which is 2 more than Break Me. Speaking of popularity I thought the tour was gonna be theaters not amphitheaters well at least she's playing the Tower in Philly which is a cool venue but woulda much preferred(for you Tri-state East-coasters out there) NJPAC and The Beacon over PNC and Jones Beach. Well guess I'll comfort myself with memories of the Conan performance and hopefully not succumb to the masochistic impulses to watch her play Break Me on Leno and successive TV appearances the good songs on This Way are 2, 3, 5, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14 and I haven't made my mind up about 10 yet and well a lot of good bands(DMB) release sucky ass singles(which leads to popradio fans at the concerts and they always happen to be sitting right near me but oh well it's just music this was just a rant and a venting type cathartic exercise poeticprosey little thing, go listen to some Tom Waits make me feel better pick up the new White Stripes album it rocks or True Love Waits by Radiohead, I feel better now, later Angels Sean Hooks (if you're not into rambling stream-of-consciousness poetry you were warned at the beginning, don't come complaining to me now) bDespite all my rage I am still just a rat in a cageb - -Smashing Pumpkins ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 2 Mar 2002 02:26:19 EST From: JeWeLsTaR386@aol.com Subject: [EDA] BrEaK Me Im happy with the new single being "Break Me". She even asked who was there. I did see her concert in autumn of 1997, however she must have mentioned another concert earlier that year when 'she was opening for Willy DeVille?' Apparently there was one person in the audience who actually came for Willy De Ville that night! However, as I mentioned before, I loved her concert last Thursday, just as I loved her concert back in 97! Only a Marx Brothers fan can appreciate these!! 1. Two vultures board an airplane; each is carrying two dead raccoons. The stewardess looks at them and says, "I'm sorry, gentlemen, only one carrion allowed per passenger." 2. Two boll weevils grew up in South Carolina. One went to Hollywood and became a famous actor. The other stayed behind in the cotton fields and never amounted to much. The second one, naturally, became known as the lesser of two weevils. 3. Two Eskimos sitting in a kayak were chilly, but when they lit a fire in the craft it sank, proving once again that you can't have your kayak and heat it too. 4. A three-legged dog walks into a saloon in the Old West. He slides up to the bar and announces, "I'm looking for the man who shot my paw." 5. Did you hear about the Buddhist who refused novocaine during a root canal? He wanted to transcend dental medication. 6. A group of chess enthusiasts checked into a hotel and were standing in the lobby discussing their recent tournament victories. After about an hour, the manager came out of the office and asked them to disperse. "But why?" they asked, as they moved off. "Because," he said, "I can't stand chess nuts boasting in an open foyer." 7. A woman has twins and gives them up for adoption. One of them goes to a family in Egypt and is named "Ahmal". The other goes to a family in Spain; they name him "Juan." Years later, Juan sends a picture of himself to his birth mother. Upon receiving the picture, she tells her husband that she wishes she also had a picture of Ahmal. Her husband responds, "They're twins! If you've seen Juan, you've seen Ahmal." 8.These friars were behind on their belfry payments, so they opened up a small florist shop to raise funds. Since everyone liked to buy flowers from the men of God, a rival florist across town thought the competition was unfair. He asked the good fathers to close down, but they would not. He went back and begged the friars to close. They ignored him. So, the rival florist hired Hugh MacTaggart, the roughest and most vicious thug in town to "persuade" them to close. Hugh beat up the friars and trashed their store, saying he'd be back if they didn't close up shop. Terrified, they did so, thereby proving that Hugh, and only Hugh, can prevent florist friars. 9. Mahatma Gandhi, as you know, walked barefoot most of the time, which produced an impressive set of calluses on his feet. He also ate very little, which made him rather frail and with his odd diet, he suffered from bad breath. This made him what? (Oh man, this is so bad it's good) A super callused fragile mystic hexed by halitosis. 10. And finally, there was the person who sent ten different puns to friends, with the hope that at least one of the puns would make them laugh. Unfortunately, no pun in ten did. ___________________________________________________________________ Get your own FREE Bolt Onebox - FREE voicemail, email, and fax, all in one place - sign up at http://www.bolt.com ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 2 Mar 2002 22:20:47 EST From: JeWeLsTaR386@aol.com Subject: [EDA] Jewel Tickets How come on some websites I've been to they are selling Jewel tickets..but they haven't been anounced that they are on sell...and they are like 1000 dollars? do you think its fake or something? ~The *Dixie* Angel~ ~*~mIcHeLLe M.~*~ Listen to Jewel Standing Still Here http://www2.fanscape.com/jewel/streetteam/standingstillaudiord.asp I'd rather be disliked for who I am, Than liked for who I'm not-Jewel ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 2 Mar 2002 22:27:31 EST From: JeWeLsTaR386@aol.com Subject: [EDA] tickets...the website The website is www.ticketsnow.com ~The *Dixie* Angel~ ~*~mIcHeLLe M.~*~ Listen to Jewel Standing Still Here http://www2.fanscape.com/jewel/streetteam/standingstillaudiord.asp I'd rather be disliked for who I am, Than liked for who I'm not-Jewel ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 02 Mar 2002 22:55:48 -0700 From: "Stacey Hamilton" Subject: Re: [EDA] Jewel Tickets Well you only listed one site, and I went to that one and they only have one date listed for Jewel. The site says it's for premium tickets and/or sold out shows so I think that explains the high cost. I wouldn't buy tickets from them. Just wait till they go on sale with ticketmaster and get them that way. I'm sure once the sale dates are announced it'll be posted on her website. ~Stacey~ >How come on some websites I've been to they are selling Jewel tickets..but >they haven't been anounced that they are on sell...and they are like 1000 >dollars? do you think its fake or something? _________________________________________________________________ MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V7 #86 **************************
