It's too bad the turn out wasn't bigger, but she put on a great show. She's a really sweet girl and look forward to seeing her when she comes by again. She wants me and my booking agent to move out to Sacremento with her (actually we all agreed we should just all pick up and go to Monterey), but alas...I'm po' right now. Ugh. Anyway, if you get a chance to check her out when she's around your area, you should do so. Dear Lord, what a year we've all had, never could I imagined what this last year was going to be like, how could I? How could we? I guess everyone was just to busy to foresee that anything bad could happen, never in these United States anyway, where we are supposed to have such a functional government and national security. We were wrong. I guess when we detach ourselves from was going on outside our own little world we tend to forget that stuff that's happening else where could affect us. It did. There's a big lesson here for everyone that could be applied to your own personal lives. In mine, last year I was totally clueless, I had no sense of direction nor any dreams to pursue, nothing. That's sad. All these things were in some part of me, but where tucked away in a place where I couldn't reach them. Why? , when you get comfortable in a place, sometimes you forget, you live day by day, you eat , you drink, you have fun, you become numbed. What happened this year on sept 11 had a profound effect on my life, it reminded me how precious life is, what a gift we have and how we tend to throw it away, some of us anyway. A lot of people wish they would have this life right now, they don't. So this next year I decided not to throw my gift away anymore, I'm going to get more involved in causes other than myself, I'm going to try to do all the things that always wanted to do, but were afraid to because I'm afraid to fail. I will never know unless I do it. I read on Jewel's book the following: "I had all the tools that I needed in order to do exactly what I wanted to do" I think we all have them to, we know exactly what we want to be happy and we know exactly what we need to do to get to that happiness. This next year I want to be happy or at least start the road to get there. Everything involves big sacrifices that I was not willing to do before, but now I am. God gave each and everyone of us some type of talent/s, he wants us to use them, not to put them away , do something with it and show more people, it will fill your life's empty spot that we never seem to fill and will bring happiness and might fill someone else's life to. This is what I want next year and I ask God to give me the strength, wisdom and health to do it. Cherish your life, other people's life, respect each other, do unto others and get involved. I sound like a hippie but this is what I feel right now. So happy new year, and I wish you all the best for this coming year , may God bless and give you the wisdom, health , love and yes, a little cash doesn't hurt either :) luv Uri ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 30 Dec 2001 16:43:36 -0500 From: "Sheila56" Subject: [EDA] NJC; Ciara singing to the veterans Ciara wants the eda's to pray for her...pray she does a good job tonight at the veterans hospital in Saginaw Michigan. I am most interested in just a program that can split multiple tracks from WAVs. I have about 300+ old cassettes of music that I miss but would rather have on CDs and I'd rather record the whole tape (with auto reverse) on a single session wav and then go back to cut out the blanks and set-up the splitting of the tracks ... Anyone have a PC based program that they have used a lot for this? == Rob == ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 30 Dec 2001 21:46:03 -0500 From: "Mackie, Shannon L."
