But I didn't know how to bring it up without starting a row. Too bad, here it is. Why did Jewel appear on the Kilborn show last Friday and giggle through the interview without ever even mentioning the death of George Harrison? The death of Princess Diana Spencer apparently meant a great deal to her. And what songs did Di write? And I, along with a few other people I know, could not believe it. Her ignoring Harrison was a very, very crude swipe at music, about as compassionate as a chainsaw to the history of rock and pop music. I was very disappointed. I know her halfhearted and lame comment at the VH1 awards, when she was prodded. I don't know what goes through her mind and I'm not sure I even care to know at this point. Even if she isn't or wasn't a Harrison fan, come on, anyone with a brain has to understand his importance in music. Even the teenagers have to know that. I just don't get why she ignored his death, which hurt a great many people, myself included. Sean ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V6 #664 ***************************
