I think SS is a very weak song, lyricaly mainly... I never liked it that much... I really would like to see Jewel come up with LMJLMA as next single. People are kinda tired of the folk chick who lived in a van, I think... It would be a lot more interesting, even for her, to see how people would react to her rock sound. Fabio PS: then we could have "This Way" and "DYWTP?" as other singles. >> www.geocities.com/fabiojj <|> BRASIL <|> Jewel+Sarah << >> www.jewelbrasil.f2s.com <|> BRASIL <|> Fa-clube Jewel << >> www.jeweljk.com <|>JEWEL <|> official website << >> music <|> STANDING STILL <|> Jewel <|> THIS WAY << >> http://www2.fanscape.com/jewel/streetteam/standingstillaudiord.asp << - ----- Original Message ----- From: To: Sent: Sunday, November 18, 2001 9:55 PM Subject: [EDA] Re: single > In a message dated 11/18/01 2:52:33 PM Eastern Standard Time, > owner-jewel-digest@smoe.org writes: > > > > yes, I also believe This Way sales will increase later. I was just wondering what the screen saver is. I still can't seem to install it (I tried installing the file that Mr BB told us about, but my computer says it can't find the file America which is needed to open it). So I was just wondering what it looked like and if it was worth this frustration. Thanks :) Amanda ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 18 Nov 2001 22:43:30 EST From: Beppers@aol.com Subject: [EDA] NJC.....Who sings this? I have a question......and I am sorry that this has nothing what so ever to do with Jewel. I am trying to figure out who sings a song that my sisters heard somewhere and now they won't stop singing it. I wanted to buy them the cd for Christmas. Some of the Lyrics are........"there's so many colors in a rainbow, there's so many colors in a morning sun" Some one said that they think Jim Croce sang it, but I haven't had any luck finding it. So if any one knows the name of the song or who sings it please let me know. (You would make mine and my sisters' day!!) Thank you!!! I read an article from the Chicago Sun-Times that stated Shakira has the edge, but that Garth might catch up. The article didn't mention Jewel at all, so I don't think she's even a contender. However, if she has already sold over 500,000 copies (which has been previously speculated) she would surely own the top spot on Billboard. But I really don't think this is the case. I would guess she has sold 150,000 copies at the most and will probably debut around 8 or so. Much like your experience, stores around here are having trouble moving copies of This Way. Then again if Billboard position is based solely on the number of copies shipped to stores and not on the number actually sold, Jewel will do considerable better. Thank you, and no I didn't :) Just to make sure my name is not "sullied"... I have a direct TV satellite with the PPV's unlocked... fortunately, since I live in Canada, it's not acutally "illegal" to have the satellite, it was all bought in a real store, Direct TV has no company up here, and no actual jurisdiction to make it illegal, even though it really is just stealing their signal :) ~ Sandy > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Sandy > To: > Sent: Sunday, November 18, 2001 1:18 PM > Subject: [EDA] Jewel at Rahman/Lewis Fight... > > > > haha I just need to vent to people who care :) > > > > Last night I really wasn't in the mood to stay home and watch the fight, > but > > wanted to catch Jewel singing the national anthem since I spaced out and > > missed the World Series one.... so I threw on the channel 40 minutes > before > > it *said* it was starting (8pm), threw in a tape with about 2 1/2 hours > left > > on it, which I figure is plenty of time, hit record, then went to the > > casino....where I proceeded to lose $50 (not that I expected to > win)...then > > I stop off at a friends house in the town where the casino is for a while, > > make my way back home....it's now about 12am...I walk in and see Jewel > > finishing up the anthem, and figure they were just repeating the fight > back > > to back on PPV, and that I had it on tape....no, no, of course not, that > was > > actually it, and of course, my tape had run out about 2 hours before... Subject: [EDA] NJC: Orgasm moments in songs/Tara Yes, the bonus track is called Shakota I believe. It sort of sounds like some indian chant sort of song, hard to describe really. Lots of percussion. Lots of cool vocal sounds. Anyone whose into orgasmic sounding songs, I highly recommend buying her latest release entitled "Passenger". Also, it's a great album. :-) (gotta plug Tara every now and then...still (I think) the most geniune, sincere artist in existence) Derrick - -----Original Message----- From: Sarah Dowling To: jewel@smoe.org Sent: 11/18/01 7:56 PM Subject: [EDA] NJC: Orgasm moments in songs Okay, I can't believe I am actually joining a conversation about orgasm screams...But have any of you ever heard the bonus track on Tara Maclean's second CD? It's this primal, awesome, powerful chant-type song that you can just completely lose yourself in. We affectionately call it "the orgasm song" because, towards the end... well you'd have to hear it :) Going to go blush in the corner, *S* _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V6 #591 ***************************
