As for the enhanced part, I got the screen saver (very chill) and the wallpaper to work, and my video works too, but it stops sometimes and the entire song is distorted, this also happens on my Spirt CDrom with the music, the video goes. I'm wondering if it's my computer? Is anyone else having these issues?? Then had some horribly live tv show groupie. ugghhcckkk. He was very weird and I didn't want to be stuck next to him. I ended up finding my ID which I needed. And Elizabeth and her friend showed up and some stupid people didn't want to let them into line with us because they were dumb. But the usher lady said that we are allowed to save spots. So HAAAAAA. To those people. But just so they would be quiet about it we let them go ahead of us. We ended up with better seats then them. HAAAAA again. I'm so bad. Jewel was beautiful as always. And for those of you who were at Humphey's I think the band seemed more comfy with each other. Jewel seemed a bit uncomfortable when she looked at the audience. Not as confident as she does at her own shows but she did a great job and we got to see her sing twice which was great. And she did sit and talk to leno for a while. But it was all during commercials. Would have been cool to hear what they were talking about. And she was so funny when she followed the curtain down. She like bent down with it as it was closing and looked at everyone. And she said hi to me and elizabeth and we yelled our lungs out... It was worth all the hassle to see her. I think at least and it was a memory. I love the CD!!!! its awesome........ Hey angels, I know many of you like Steve Poltz, and although Jim sounds a bit different than Steve does, I can see similarities between the two so I wanted to bring Jim Boggia to your attention. He's based in Philly and plays there all the time. But, he'll be back to Massachusetts when he plays the Kendall Cafe on Monday. He's opening for Cameron Dezen's residency, and Awry is also playing. You can check out Cameron's stuff at www.camerondezen.com, and she's also on cdbaby.com/camdezen as well as auralgasms.com. The Kendall is a great place to hear music (and eat and drink), so come if you can. I completely agree about break me. Something about it sounds like a song on the christmas album. I can't put my finger on it tho. when she says "just let me feel your arms again" during the second chorus, the way she resolves the chord/line sounds exactly like one of the christmas songs, but i can't remeber which one. And instead of the solo acousticness that i love there is a lot of production going on in the background like the christmas album. Why can't i think of the song it sounds like?? Anyone have any idea? But anyway, i got my CD today. Have you guys put it in your computer yet? I think the break me video is cool. It's different anyway. I didn't expect that. But I think the CD is great. I can't stop listening. (and i should, i have finals tomorrow :o ) Now i'll start counting down to summer...... BUT, I still can't get the screen saver to work, and have been told by others that they are having problems with this as well. It's looking for a driver that appears to be missing...named CNCS232.DLL Has anyone been able to get the screensaver to work, and if so, what did you do? I looked on the CD and that driver is nowhere to be found, so I'm thinking it must be something that's supposed to already be on the computer. It's using something called Multimedia Fusion. I'm beginning to think the screen saver only works with an NT operating system. Are there any windows 95/98/me users that have gotten it to work? Someone said they put the driver in their systemnt folder and it worked. I put it in my system folder (not on NT), and it still isn't working. All I'm getting now is a solid white screen, and occasionally it also gives me an illegal operation message. According to the minimum requirements written on the CD insert, it should work regardless of the operating system, but who knows. Subject: [EDA] screen saver results Ok...I've discovered that the screen saver only works on NT 2000 and possibly Windows ME platforms. This is only *after* you copy the .dll file that's missing into the appropriate folder on your computer. Such as the "system", or "system32" folder within the windows folder. It's not that big of deal really. Just 6 photos coming up and disappearing, one at a time. Same as the ones in the CD insert. No sound or anything either. You're not missing much if you couldn't get it to work. Note: I was informed that it's not even working on all NT systems either....so who knows. Sounds like they didn't do their homework before this was developed. Derrick ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 14 Nov 2001 20:26:37 -0600 From: "Karacostas, Derrick W." Subject: [EDA] Break Me video This is a nice touch on an otherwise less than thrilling "enhanced" portion of the CD. I like what they did with the video, and especially like all the shots of Jewel with minimal to no make up. I've always thought she looked better this way, and still does...and younger as well. It's nice she actually let someone film her liike that knowing this would be seen by millions. I can't tell too much difference in the song itself, but it's a noticebly different mix from the regular CD version. Derrick PS....Sean, where's your review? Did you pass out after listening to the CD or something? :-) ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V6 #574 ***************************
