This is obviously a plant to send lots of e-mails to radio station music directors. Please pass along to all the people sending these e-mails that when we get tons of these it seems very rigged and less credible. Just FYI. This seems very fishy. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 5 Nov 2001 17:17:17 -0600 From: "Eric Levenchuck" Subject: Re: [EDA] Re: why would you want jewel played on pop radio Keep one thing in mind, though. The more you request Jewel on crappy pop stations, the greater the chance you'll have to sit beside a screaming teenager at a 20,000 seat venue when Jewel goes on tour. Wouldn't you rather keep her fanbase small enough to allow for both success for her and for a measure of accessibility for her more dedicated fans? By the way, twenty-million albums (or whatever it is) is quite a lot of success. Why not spend your time promoting a lesser known artist, instead of one everyone already knows about? A few have written us asking why various radio shows broadcasting now are not re-announced. These shows were announced at the time of taping last month, but air-dates are determined individually by the stations, so we are unable to inform you on many of the radio station visit broadcast dates. I did just update Jewel's calendar a few minutes ago, with more scheduling confirmations for this month. We'll be adding more info about December radio station Christmas Concerts soon and there will likely be more upcoming TV and promo added later this week. Check it out for the latest info. Anyway, I emailed a lot of people.... and actually today alone, 8 of them emailed me back saying how great they thought they were, how it brought a smile to their face, or just how much they love jewel in general. Well, I thought it was great, and this might also encourage other to request the song by telephone. Just thought ya might wanna know :) Thanks to those who wrote me about playing guitar haha. Yeah, I guess i will have to get some discipline and play and practice more huh? Has anyone figured out the lyrics for songs on This Way besides Jesus loves you, and SS?
