I didn't even know she was there. But anway, the interview is pretty good. Apparently Rick was pretty flabbergasted at what she was wearing. He described it as a see-thru nightie with a pink lace bra underneath. Just listen to it, it's kinda funny. And if anyone has pics of this outfit please let me know. I would love to see it. Here's the link http://www.rick.com/home.html it's at about the middle of the page under a picture of Jessica Alba. At first I didn't recognize it because I was distracted by the difficult mind teasers that always precede the movies. Anyway, at the end the announcer names the song and says it's on Jewel's upcoming album. That's the first time I've heard in public (besides NashBash). Just a reminder to take a couple minutes everyday to email the 10 or so stations listed on the Jewel request page.. It won't take long at all.. Just create a slightly different, unique, natural sounding request email and paste it in a separate email to each station.. The email addresses and websites are listed to make it easier for you! Email the stations in the Urgent section to get them to add Jewel and email the stations in the Successes section to thank them for playing it and to encourage them to give it even more spins.. Remember, we need to email these stations EVERY DAY!!! If we just do it one and then it all dies, they'll know it was a fluke and they'll erase it from their mind.. Once we get it played on the stations, hopefully they'll get more calls from listeners of the station to add to our emails and we can help the song become a hit! Steve and I have been working together, and now the Standing Still campaign page has been redesigned to make it easier to use.. It is at http://www.geocities.com/fredsteve ...and if you forget that URL later when you want to vote, I have it linked on Planet Jewel.. Hopefully we can get the Jewel Street Team and JewelJK.com calendar to link it so that more people will visit it and can join in the efforts! Stations like Z100 in NY are not where I want to hear Jewel. Being played on crappy pop stations like that can only heard an artist's credability. Who wants to hear Jewel in between Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez? If you want to request Jewel songs, call college radio stations or small independent stations that play LEGITIMATE music. In NY, call 90.7 WFUV, not Z100. Being played next to shit makes Jewel's music seem like shit. She said she loved the song and that they had JUST added it, so it would be playing during the night (not the best time) for a little while, and then go on to get daytime play. She said this is typical procedure. Anyway, that's another stations that seems to be behind the song! Keep on requesting!! The website had a big overhaul today thanks to Scott, and it looks great now! And I've added several new email addresses and websites that you can request from.. so now almost every stations has an internet method of requesting. The next week or so is absolutely CRUCIAL (especially the next couple of days)... so keep those emails going in.. try to do it three or four times a day for the next few days. We'll keep you posted as to the progress. The only way I see that he could have gotten it was if he were to check my AOL profile.. (kind of odd since his own email wasn't even AOL, seems like it would just be more work..) I was a little upset by his response, I don't know why, probably just because I did not share that information with him. That and it's been a long day :) Anybody got a good response for me to write back? Jewel is very comfortable singing this song. The beat helps its lightness. A song that grows with time. 2) BRAKE ME A like this version. The live one is too mellow. This is good. Anyway, Jewel has to release a live album (solo acoustic would be great). She is a live artist. She doesn't fit well in these studio songs. Although she said she liked it, she's still better live, and, maily, without back vocals. It's what I less like in this album. There are too many back vocals (although I think Jesus Loves You's back vocals are great...).
