I've managed to find such links for the majority of the stations JeweLink listed for us... all you gotta do is go to the website, click on the links and either write a manic email requesting standing still... or fill in a request form in a very manic way. The key is be manic, and they'll be so afraid they won't be able to not play the song. It took exactly 2 minutes to email everyone on the listen, and another 8 minutes to get through all the web-based requests....... that's 10 minutes.. and if you only wanna email people, that's fine. I've recieved a bunch of emails from people saying how this will make them request the song when they probably wouldn't have before, so I hope that's how you all feel! Just to let you know, we can add another station to the list of stations playing Jewel at a reasonable level! that is: Detroit, MI.............WKQI 313-298-9595 I'll keep you updated on this, but that's now 4 stations from the list that are playing Jewel reasonably. Just to give you an idea how important those stations are - Jewel's top 20 stations probably give her about 4 million listeners across the US... and 2.1 million of those come from those 4 stations.... I don't think its that difficult of a song... its the first song I learned how to play on the guitar.And I had only been playing 2 weeks. I still think the Free Bird comment she uses is a joke, since flipping someone off is a.k.a "shooting a bird/giving someone the bird" this she's giving you a free bird when you ask for Free Bird. Subject: [EDA] More thoughts on Jewel's album Hi Angels, Well, since I received Jewel's new CD on Thursday from Japan I've been listening almost constantly. So far, I have mixed emotions. First, Standing Still I don't want to talk about much since I have had this song since mid-September and heard it for the first time in August, but I still love it! This should certainly help sell The Way and get some new fans as well. Jesus Loves You, I love this one. I must admit I had to stop listening to it today cause I've listened to it more than any other song on the album so far. It sounds good, no other way to put it. Everybody Needs Someone Sometime, another great song and I must admit I think tracks 1-3 may be the best part of this album. Break me, I like this version, but I think there were other ways to do this song which would have pleased the general public more. Do you want to play? I have not listened enough to have a true love for it yet, but I suspect I will. Till We Run Out of Road, have not listened enough to say much at all. Serve the Ego, I thought the version on the late night show last year was better, but it's good here too. This way, my Saturday song! I've began listening to this often today. I figured, I gotta soak myself in the album's title track and I have, it's great! Cleveland, have heard this a bit now from it coming on after This Way, and it's great. I Won't Walk Away, I'm not familiar with this song enough yet to comment. Love Me, Just Leave Me Alone, couldn't we have had a version more like Woodstock? The CD version is fine for me, but a Woodstock style would certainly appeal to more people in my view. The New Wild West, I have not listened enough to comment. Grey Matter, a fine live track. Sometimes it be that way, fine live track, but not my favorite version of this song. A Long Slow Slide, I have not listened enough to comment.
