Hi All, Gotta heat up the VCR for Unplugged. This is -I think- the 2nd time EVER MTV has aired it. I taped it the first time around but my copy is getting a little ugly. Anyhoo, I'd like to hear opinions about who would you like to see open whenever Jewel goes back on the road. IMHO, I'd like to see Dave Gray again. He did a headline tour this year and swung by San Diego and I loved the show. BTW-White Ladder is good, "Sell Sell Sell", "Flesh", and "Lost Songs" are just as good. Jason Mraz and Toca Rivera would be excellent. Being there since the begining oh, about 2 years ago makes me feel happy for the kid that his fan base has blossomed SO much. Sweet Duration (Sweet D) would be great also. Randi Driscoll is very good. Im trying so hard to think of a national act that would compliment a Jewel show, but running out of ideas. I interviewed her last week for my University newspaper and she was absolutely delightful in person. I've met her a couple of times before, just as a fan, and she was polite and charming both times, signing CDs, taking photos and chatting for as long as people wanted - entirely the opposite of my experiences with Jewel! If we're making suggestions, I'd like to suggest people check out "Dear Frustrated Superstar" by Nerina Pallot which is a superb debut album. I don't know if it's easily available in the US, but it should be no problem to get in the UK - particular highlights are "Blood Is Blood" and "Jump"...
