Hey Angels, How is everyone? I'm listening to Jewel's "Break Me" on the AOL:Artist of the Month and OH MY GOSH it is absolutely beautiful! I think this is the best version I've heard! How she does her voice in it, is it like the album version? I know the album version has got more instrumental but I want to know if its the same voice wise. If you haven't heard it, go and listen to it or you are missing out big time. I think my favorite part is when she says "I will let you undress me but I warn you of thorns like any rose." Take Care, Kristin "Just like chocolate-I love it!" - -Jewel "MTV: Unplugged" Listen to Jewel's new song "Standing Still" @: http://www2.fanscape.com/jewel/streetteam/standingstillaudiord.asp ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 21 Oct 2001 21:03:46 -0700 From: "Sandy" Subject: [EDA] Just some little tidbits... Since someone mentioned that Jewel is on ChumFM the *radio* stations, top 30 countdown, (this is for Canadian angels) I thought I'd mention that also means she will be on their *video* countdown, it comes on sometime Sunday morning....my boyfriend missed the beginning of the show today, so he doesn't know if they showed her video, but when they did the "countdown" list part, he saw that she was #28.... I also woke up Saturday morning to Jewel on an SNL rebroadcast, and suddenley, a question popped into my mind...why hasn't Jewel *hosted* SNL? I mean, I love having her as a musical guest, because I love her music, but I think she'd do great in some sketches....they've had other singers (including Britney Spears) host it before...so I see no reason why she can't :) I say we make a fuss and see if we can get her on there (that is of course if she wants to be lol) :) I was also thinking that I'd really like to hear what Jewel's thoughts on the recent happenings have been, in an actual interview where she could go into a little bit of depth about what she's thinking - I was looking forward to Larry King Live because I figured she'd talk about it on there, but that might never get rescheduled....so...someone please interview her, and make it a good lengthly interview, and ask her about these things, please :) (yes I know I'm talking to no one on here that can do it) Anyways, that is all for all :) ~ Sandy ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 21 Oct 2001 21:05:06 EDT From: Spirit1924@aol.com Subject: [EDA] More of Jewel's fav. songs Hey again Angels, I've been listening to the AOL radio for awhile so here are some songs.... Juliane ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 21 Oct 2001 23:22:30 EDT From: Mattman8818@aol.com Subject: [EDA] More Tour Thoughts I have some more thoughts on what I'd like to see on Jewels 2002 Tour and Im wondering what you guys would like to see. First of all, I'd love to see MICHELLE BRANCH as the opening act. Michelle credits Jewel so much as an influence to her, and now that she has a hit, the audience would love her and I'm sure she'd do it cause she loves Jewel so much. And hey, maybe they could do a duet or something that would be so cool. What do you guys think? Who else would you guys like to see open for her? And something I would like to see...and official EDA gather place at each show, like a tent or an area or something. That would be wonderful! What do you guys think? A CATWALK!!! Wouldn't it be cool if Jewel had a cat walk so she could be closer to fans? That would be fun! WDYGT? What do you guys wanna see on the tour. I sure wanna know and I'm sure Jewel's team could use some ideas ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 21 Oct 2001 23:27:10 -0400 From: "Scott" Subject: Re: [EDA] More Tour Thoughts Something I want is more varied setlists.. The thing I love about other artists that I didn't see with Jewel during the Spirit Tour is the widely varying setlist every night.. If you looked at the Spirit Tour, the set was, for the most part, exactly the same.. While she snuck in some variations every other show, it wasn't enough.. I'm sure this is part of the reason why Jewel got so bored with it all.. Couple the relatively boring Spirit music with the same setlist, and it couldn't be fun for someone to do that for month upon month.. So hopefully she'll change it up a little.. =) scott.evans [[mind is DISCONNECTED. but my heart is WIRED.]] AOL IM: sevans112 . Yahoo!
