I do not agree with most of you about standing still. I LOVE the song more than I have loved any other song!!! But to me it is not that poppy. Ok this is what I want to explain. I heard also that their are no back up singers and that Jewel just did a harmonizing track to it. I think it adds ALOT to the song. It shows that she can sing anything! I love that!! I think the reason taht you may think it sounds computerized is just cause of the contrast of her two singing parts merging, I think it is great!! Also I think the music is more rock than poppy and her voice is DEFINATELY ROCK AND RAW!! This is way less produced, "voicewise" than her other songs. On Spirit she did not use her voice at all like that graggley and powerful use that she does live. But on SS she does it alot! Like what she does on the live version of Deep Water. SS sounds alot like it would if she were singing it live. It is greatly done and not even close to overproduced. She is soo cool that way, she is showing what a REAL musician is. Unlike spears and christina, she is using her ful voice and nothing else! I would love to see her beat brit's ass on the charts!!! To see spears go down and Jewel prevail would make me soo happy, although I must say I do like brit so don't bash her hehe. Jewel has her own personality when she sings and she shows it soooo well in SS as well as TWROOR and I think that is what is going to link the whole album together, is how she is singing the songs.
