Standing in the rain i stand here by myself, alone in the dark. you stand next to me and begin to bark.i glance at you and begin to shake with anger. i walk away but you just get in my way and bark even louder. i begin to back away but you begin to corner me. i start to run and dodge branches. then i stop. i look around and look behind me. you are standing there in the darkness. i begin to cry. my tears are like the heavy rain drops from up above. the stars shine upon me and i look up. the clouds gather around me once again. i begin my long journey home and begin to see that you left me for a reason. i'm standing in the rain and begin to wonder why. all those times you left me standing in the rain. i stand here alone in the world and begin to see ,that i'll make it out, you have set me free. Just visited the Atlantic Records Website and they have added a listing for This Way which includes the official tracklisting! It is as follows: 1. Break Me 2. Cleveland 3. Do You Want To Play? 4. Everybody Needs Someone Sometime 5. Grey Matter (LIVE - Vermont Show) 6. I Won't Walk Away 7. Jesus Loves You 8. Love Me Just Leave Me Alone 9. New Wild West 10. Serve the Ego 11. Sometimes It Be That Way (LIVE - Nashville Show) 12. Standing Still 13. This Way 13. Til We Run Out Of Road Well - a few surprises on there! Cleveland? Is that "we're in cleveland today" do you think? I always liked that song... Do You Want To Play? I didn't expect that one! The only song NONE of us have ever heard is the title track, This Way... should be interesting. So Grey Matter is live from Vermont, and SIBTW is live from Nashville. huh. anyway.. i've been waiting for the tracklisting for ages so this is really cool! Now that she has gone back to including some live tracks in 'This Way', recording the new tracks live with her band in the studio with a lot less producing (if I am to believe what's been said!) and also including some of the old favourites as well, you are still moaning !!!!! Jewel was never going to please everyone, but with rock, folk, pop(ish), live, studio, old & new tracks included I for one think she's had a damn good go at trying with 'This Way'! I woke up to hundreds of emails today and it's understandable why, what with Atlantic mistakenly posting incorrect information on their website. Yes, believe it or not, the info you guys are understandably getting excited about is mistaken. Other than Japan, Jewel's album is NOT being released on October 30th and will be released domestically, as we've been telling you all along, on November 13th. Additionally, the tracklist posted on the Atlantic site last night is also incorrect. We have every intention of telling you the accurate tracklist in the correct running order, but for obvious reasons, we want to tell you accurate information. That info will probably be coming sooner than expected now, so hang in there a little while longer. As for the live bonus tracks, yes there will be some and quite likely they will differ in various areas of the world, so any specific information currently circulating about live bonus tracks, including Atlantic's website, is certainly possible but just as likely mistaken. How do these things happen? Beats me, but I did want the EDAs to know the reality, before wrong info continues to spread to your websites and elsewhere. You'll likely see the mistaken info disappear from Atlantic's site over the weekend. Needless to say, it's never dull around here! I constantly see people asking the same thing that was answered the day before. I'm not trying to be rude, really, but here we have multple people posting the supposed "track list"....then someone asks if anyone has it, after it's been posted multiple times.... on top of that, someone reposts the supposed "track list" that has already been debunked today by Mr BB as being false, and where he also stated that *they don't have the official track listing ready for us yet, but will soon*....so obviously people aren't paying attention....so in all honestly, do a lot of you just delete messages without reading them? I know it's not a big deal now, but I'd rather avoid getting needless posts when the list starts to get really active when her CD comes out.... and if this is a case where you're replying to something before you get the other message, here is a tip: this is something I make sure I do with any list I am on - ALWAYS read all the new messages you have before responding, that way you are sure to not repeat something someone else has already said, etc. that being said, i love you all (well most of you lol) and I'm not trying to pick on particular people for any reason, so please don't get all bent out of shape and thinking I'm being mean to you :) ~ Sandy ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 29 Sep 2001 13:48:00 -0400 From: "Scott" Subject: Re: [EDA] Official This Way track list and new US release date This is just a guess, but I don't think the label has moved up the release to October 30th.. Jewel has been promoting as November 13 on all the radio stations and TV shows shes done.. And everywhere else still has the release date as November 13, including the banner ad on the Atlantic site for the album/single.. If you'll look under the Jewel Discography on the Atlantic site, it says that Joy was released on Oct 19 1999, when it was always scheduled for a November release.. I'm thinking that either someone put in the Japan release date for This Way (which is in fact Oct 30) or just made a simple mistake.. I, for one, am hoping the label gives the single the time to catch on and leaves it at November 13..
