HER VOICE!!! she has been practicing and perfecting it for all this time she was gone, you can just tell. she also was very happy and very talkative, which was really wonderful... its great to see her so happy, and i cant help to think that ty is a part of that... love birds.. sigh... but the whole concert was recorded, and i talked to mrbb and he said that it was probably gonna be made into a video/dvd!!!! i cant wait!! so there is my pretty short review of the best jewel show ive been to yet! she has gotten sooooo good you guys.. the new album is gonna be amazing!! now and zen girl (alisa) - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 21 Aug 2001 17:23:26 -0400 From: "cymbaline" Subject: Re: [EDA] NJC: Poetry Scam *www.poetry.com* ah, yes... the NLP scam.... Now, come on, is it just me, or was that last sentence in brackets included out of nowhere, and really doesn't reflect on anything in the paragraph? I guess she just *really* wanted to add that in her article and couldn't find anywhere more appropriate to do it? In that case, she should have just wrote a whole paragraph about her fans. It's way out of place at the end of that paragraph, and it's not reflecting, nor does it have anything to do with what's written before it :) Okay I'm done picking, I just found those things amusing, and though I'd share my thoughts :) ~<3~ Sandy - - lavender haunted you, so I could only laugh in yellow - jewel - ..... http://www.envy.nu/angeloflove ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 21 Aug 2001 16:37:30 -0500 From: "Kristie Biggs" Subject: Re: [EDA] NJC: Poetry Scam *www.poetry.com* OK, obviously this subject is going to keep coming up, so let me at least validate myself. I'm gonna say a few words about "This Way": 1) The article said that there will be 2 or 3 live songs (from Nashville concert), right? I do believe the first one is Does Anyone Believe In Love, mainly because you said that there were even some special sounds when she played it. The others i believe are Brake Me and Stephenville, but it may also be Cowboy Walt, which I love, or even Louisa and Her Blue Guitar, which she played out of the blue. 2) The new single might be "Standing Still", as she requested the fans to call to the radio stations asking for it!!! 3) A list of what may be on "This Way": (the ones with *** I alread heard) 1) Does Anyone Believe In Love *** 2) Jesus Loves You 3) Everybody Needs Someone Sometime*** 4) The New Wild West 5) A Long Slow Slide 6) Serve The Ego*** 7) Standing Still 8) I Won't Walk Away 9) Stephenville*** 10) Tenderness 11) Louisa and her blue guitar*** 12) Cowboy Waltz*** 13) Till We Run Out Of The Road But what about Love Me Just Leave Me Alone and Angel Needs A Ride??? well, who knows... 4) Did you see?? She played "I Won't Walk Away", that song supposed to be at America's Sweethearts Soundtrack, remember? It does exist!! What fun is it to buy a CD of songs you already have heard many, many, MANY times before? One reason I like Jewel so much is because she surprises us with the broad range of songs. I'd rather not know every song on the CD, but instead, have brand new ones that even we have not heard of. Another reason (this is going to sound silly) is that I really like being an EDA because we know all of these extra songs that most fans don't know about. I'd rather keep those songs a "secret"...it makes me feel sort of...well, special would be a good word. Haha, I know that sounds rather stupid and juvenile, but I'm sure some of you agree out there. Dunno though, just wishful thinking cuz I really liked that song an awful lot. I have to admit, I was impressed with her poem (as some of you know, my daughter has a learning disability), and had to ask her if she wrote it herself, but it certainly wasn't published poet quality......
