Anyway...I'm excited about her and I don't get excited about too many people fast, thanks Rowley! Warner Music must have decided for some reason to change the design when they printed it here, though I don't know why. I kind of had a semi-similar thing happen awhile ago, when I noticed that my PJ Harvey CD had an extra track listed without a number beside it on the back of the CD, that was not on the CD.... I'd heard that song before, and knew my friend in England had it on her CD, so I thought for sure it was a screw up with mine, but it turned out that the 'bonus' track was only available in the UK and 1 or 2 other European countires. I have no idea why they didn't remove the track name when they printed it in Canada without the song, but oh well :) ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 14 Aug 2001 09:28:21 -0400 From: Katherine_Stojonic@michcon.com Subject: [EDA] NJC: College Hi! The show was awesome....Steve was awesome...Jewel was awesome, but the guy in the yellow Explorer from NY was NOT awesome because he tried to run me down in the parking lot while he was cutting across the grass, but other than that....it was awesome!!! :-) She played 2 of my requests (Sometimes it be that way, and Race car driver) YAY....and yah, I was that crazy woman screaming at all the songs because i knew them all :-) I love jewel. However, I know that a lot of EDAs are going to be there, and I was wondering if any of you are planning on taping the concerts. I think it'd be a good idea considering Jewel is playing with a band, and it'd be great to be able to share some of the new material with the EDAs before it hits record stores on her new album in November. It would give all of us unable to attend the recent concerts an opportunity to hear some of this new material. I know I personally am going to have a lot of trouble waiting until November. If anyone is planning on taping the shows, please email me. Also - I have another question. Maybe MrBB could answer this one if he sees it. Jewel is playing with a new band? What happened to her Spirit Tour band? I thought she loved playing with those guys and was planning on using them in the future? Does she still have plans to play with them when she goes on a full blown tour (presumebly next year)? I hope so, because they were really good. Subject: [EDA] NJC: Michelle Branch on TV tonight!!! Everyone and anyone whose interested...Michelle is going to be on the Conan O'Brien show tonight singing her new single "Everywhere". This will be her first television appearance as far as I know, and for sure her first late night TV appearance, so be sure to check it out and give her your support! Also, her debut CD "The Spirit Room" came out today, so go pick up a copy, I'm sure you won't be disappointed. While it's a bit "produced" in my opinion, it doesn't take away from her natural talent of playing the guitar. She's a better guitar player than Jewel was starting out, and may even be to this day...it's a bit more complex. She also writes all her own lyrics as well. :-) Derrick ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 14 Aug 2001 18:50:15 -0400 From: Mike Connell Subject: [EDA] FWD: JeweLink: August 14, 2001 Here is the latest issue of JeweLink, directly from Jewel's "people", if you want to get a copy of this directly as each issue comes out, you can sub- scribe to it by sending a blank email to join-jewelink@list.jeweljk.com ******************************************** JeweLink - The Official Jewel Communications List ******************************************** In this edition of JeweLink: ***4th ALBUM UPDATES ***UNION TRIBUNE COVER STORY ***JEWEL ON TV: THIS WEEK'S SCHEDULE ***NOTE FROM MrBB ******************************************** ***4th ALBUM UPDATES Jewel has completed the recording process for her fourth album and final mixing stages are now in progress.
