I love Lousia and her blue guitar and i would absolutely would love for it to be on the new album. (i'm keeping my fingers crossed but trying not get my hopes up too high.) I would also love to see Violet eyes on the album too. As sad as it is, i fell in love with the song the first time i heard it on radio shack concert thing. But i guess we'll all have to wait until the track list is released. I can't wait to find out what songs will be on the new album! :0) smiles Diana the writing angel (\o/) /_\ ___________________________________________________________________ "Live bravely, love bravely. So I was thinking a little bit here. Jewel did Louisa in Nashville completely out of the blue. I don't think any of us yelled it out, I didn't hear it at least. She couldn't remember Carnivore which she played a couple times in 99 and a bunch of others, but remembered Louisa perfectly which hasn't been played since when? 96? 95? I'm not sure. I think it's quite possible that Louisa was recorded for the new album then. What do you all think? Subject: Re: [EDA] A little theory of mine -and- Nashville Interesting. It would be great if we got "'ouisa" on record (although the Jewelstock version is good enough to live with forever). Jewel actually did try to sing Louisa at her last full concert, in Lake Tahoe last September. Some yahoo was yelling during the song, so Jewel just gave up, said the moment was lost, and moved on. Ditto everyone's comments from Nashville. It is always especially terrific to see old EDA friends and meet new ones, particularly new ones who have never been at a live Jewel performance. I told one EDA, it's like going to a convention for people with the same mental illness; you can talk about Jewel all you want, and nobody will look at you with that fearful and glazed-over look and wonder if you've forgotten to take your meds. EDAs rock! - -=-Larry-=- Amanda wrote: > > I think this is an excellent theory. Subject: Re: [EDA] NJC Guitars and Tabs Big Blue is a custom jobbie made "just for Jewel" by renowned guitar maker Danny Ferrington. There are little personal touches all over that guitar, including inlaid mother-of-pearl fretwork depicting Alaska mountains, a thunderbird, and other symbols with personal significance to Jewel. Bonus points to anyone who knows how many stars are on Big Blue. - -=-Larry-=- Amanda wrote: > > OKKK so allow me to ask 2 quesitons i know have been asked before. > > What is the make and model of Big BLue? > Where can i find Good Guitar TABS of Jewel songs? ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 08 Aug 2001 23:56:10 -0500 From: "dan dowell" Subject: [EDA] Late Nash Bash Post Hello all, First let me say that I've been on the list for a few years now but usually lurk in the background, plotting to take over the world. I'm not a frequent poster by any means. However, after attending my first ever Jewel performance, I think I need to say a few things. Even before I left Kentucky, I knew that I would have some sort of vehicular trouble (blew out a tire outside of Nashville), the fan on my car would cease to function, I'd do a lot of walking, and Jewel would blow me away. What I didn't expect was the EDAs. Well, of course I thought you'd all be there, but I wasn't prepared for how genuinely nice everyone was. I felt kind of like it was my first time at a family reunion (where the members actually like each other). I didn't get to meet a lot of people, but the those I did speak to were great. I know you're all barfing your guts up right now, so I'll cut out all the happy shiny stuff. To summarize: you guys rock! Thanx, Louis, for sparing Angel and me the decision whether to walk the 12 blocks to the show or to chance it in my overheatin', tire-blowin' deathtrap. Erika, Dan P., Mihn, Grace, Christy, and the other couple of people whose names I don't think I ever actually heard mentioned, thanx for making us feel like part of the family. Thanx, Barney, for the use of one of your free hotel frisbees. Now that's entertainment. Wow! What a bathroom ; ) dan (not P.), the brother of Angel angel - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V6 #332 ***************************
