I've listened to >Spirit once and will never hear it again. I'd like to give my copy away to >somebody who needs it. i know everyone has there own particular taste in things (whether that be country or whatever)and that's cool, and i wouldn't really mind what type of album she does as long as she delivers the same type of songwriting and heartfelt emotion that jewel always has in her music...but that's just my opinion...but anyways, getting a little off topic here...i don't thing anyone should just listen to a cd once and then just shrug your shoulders and say 'ah well...that one sucks' you have to give a cd to develop...especially jewel ones...i admit when i bought spirit i wasn't too enthusiastic about it at first, but i got to the point where i really digged it after many spins...there's always something that i hadn't noticed before in many songs, and if you listen enough times (if it is quality music that is) you'll pick up on something that you never even noticed before, whether that be a little subtle instrumentation thingy or some play on words...what i'm saying is that you should listen to a cd or music or whatever a lot of times before you pass judgement on it...it takes me a few months of listening to something to fully be able to judge the quality...i don't see how reviewers and critics can just listen to a cd once or twice and pass judgement on how good it is...but i guess that have to cuz they have so many to review...jeez sorry for such a long post... just my opinion on stuff... tom the "cactus" angel ps. not too many of us using these 'angel' monikers anymore...huh? pps. don't feel too bad about jewel spending so much time working on the next album...still been waitin' for almost 10 years for guns n roses to release new material (although to axl's credit the new stuff they played in rio in jan. is really good especially 'madagascar', so that kinda puts things in perspective Tom Browning Indiana University Bloomington, IN tippasaurus@hotmail.com thdbrown@indiana.edu http://tippasaurus.tripod.com "Love bravely, live bravely, be courageous.
