Other artists that I would include in my top ten would be Face to Face, Jewel, Blink 182, Dashboard Confessional, and Collective Soul. Some other bands I love would be Good Charlotte, Pax 217, Lit, Incubus, Allister, Weston, and cherry bomb threat :). Eight out of how many? 1500? Not even 1% of us? Thats depressing....." I think that it is not a good thing to make EDAs feel guilty about not being able to donate anything right now. Some of us have money to spend, some of us don't. The whole thing about $5 not being a lot...well, it is to me. I had to beg for $1.25 yesterday to park at work. I honestly did not even have that much money. So yeah, it's depressing that not even 1% of us donated, but maybe it's depressing for the reason that some of us really can't, and not that some of us won't. Gina EastAngel ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 12 May 2001 13:18:38 EDT From: F8thnJEWEL@aol.com Subject: [EDA] Donations for Clearwater Hey angels, Okay, it IS sad that only 8 people donated. But let's not start the whole "not all EDAs can afford to donate" vs. "I'm in middle school and can donate" battle again. I can also see the battle between what a true EDA is and what one isn't coming up. I hope that doesn't happen either. At the moment, I happened to have money to donate, so I donated. But now, I'm dirt poor. If I had been approached right now with the question of donating, I don't think I can afford it right now. The thing is, fine, we all don't have money sometimes, but maybe another time we can donate. Like, if your birthday comes around, or Christmas ... maybe that can be a time to donate money - to anything, not just Clearwater. So, let's just leave it at that. I kind of see that old money issue starting to brew again. Hope, we don't have another big fight. ~Elizabeth ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 12 May 2001 11:15:29 -0700 (PDT) From: kevin maguire Subject: [EDA] My Jewel song That is soooooooo tuff! but probable it would be WWSYS the WOODSTOCK version where she sings for like 10 minutes, so i get my money's worth. also its so awesome when she skats, and sings about the kitty! other than that it would be near you always, carinvor, sometimes it be that way, satelite, grey matter, nicotine love, i'm fading, flower, boy needs a bike, and then some yodel. See you all in August! kevin the Santa Cruz Angel _______________________________________________________ Send a cool gift with your E-Card http://www.bluemountain.com/giftcenter/ ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 12 May 2001 19:16:41 +0100 (BST) From: =?iso-8859-1?q?Angel?= Subject: [EDA] middle name hey Guys... i'm trying out the games on the jewel website and i'm up 2 the second bonus question.... Only 32 people responded, pretty sad, almost as sad as only eight people contributing to Jewel's Birthday collection. Can't you people go with out McDonalds for one day and contribute $5 to HGH. That's ridiculous, 8 people out of the at least 1500 on this list. If you actually watch RW, then you probably remember the first time Julie played at a coffeehouse...I got her that gig, I ran that coffeehouse. =) I'm actually sitting next to her while she's singing. Stuff they didn't show was about 3 songs later when me, her, and a few other people were up there doing a horrible rendition of Foolish Games while a friend of mine played piano (Matt, the guy who was at her house who sitting on her bed with her on one episode for a little bit...the gay, kindergarten teacher). The day we actually decided to book her, Julie and I snuck off from the cameras for the first time and I played Studies in Love #12 for her (she'd heard Emily, etc. from the imports, but nothing else), and then we played and sang What's Simple is True (her favorite, by the way...), Near You Always...a few more. =) Anyway, I'm babbling. Julie rocks, I miss her, and it's sad cuz I can't get in touch with her now..she's too famous I guess =( Jamie ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 12 May 2001 20:24:33 -0700 From: Shawn E Williams Subject: [EDA] one song another song that i would probably choose is "lemondrops and clover!" I lost the girls' email address that told me about Red, White and Boom originally, so if you read this here ya go: Do you know what time exactly it starts? I'm thinking it's an all day thing, but I definitely want to be at Sandstone in time for Jewel. If you know of any sites that could give me some info on the concert, I'd really appreciate it. Have you bought your tickets yet? I haven't because I might hav e a softball tournament that weekend :( Anyone else from KC going to RW&B? Maybe we could all meet up at Sandstone! I've already drafted some friends to go with me, if I don't have a softball tournament. That's what I'm worried about :( I'm soooo excited already. I was feeling left out because of all the CA stuff Jewel does.
