A little more footage would have been good. The Doll house was awesome!. But after seeing Miss Joan Hart's house. It's party time!! She knows house to enjoy her fame & fortune. Nice shot glass collection, babe.. I wonder if Brintey Spears parties there? You go Sabrina!! ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 23 Mar 2001 11:35:04 -0500 From: "Joe Kunis" Subject: Re: [EDA] Cribs I was a little disapointed..I thought the whole half hour was supposed to be about Jewels house not just the last 5m. That was lame! Better than nothing I guess. Who was that black clown with the marbles in his mouth? A rapper no doubt... Don't like the name of the show-"Cribs" DUH! Do we have to use street slang to be cool these days? Jewel was very PC as usual, pretending that the sight of pictures of animals would make her lose her appetite, give me a break. Don't be so linguini spined Jewel, have a steak and calm down! Nice mini-house though, I'll move in with ya anytime (as long as you don't bring up the fact that you're a democrat...YUK!) This is what I decided. Here ya go, Jewel. ALBUM #3 - STEPHENVILLE Side 1 Stephenville A Very Big Girl Rosy and Mick Tiny Love Spaces Nicotine Love Moon Over Austin Side 2 Violet Eyes Angel Needs A Ride Break Me Shadows Play Serve The Ego Cowboy Waltz Thanks, Jewel! Look forward to it! I know its probably a schizophrenic choice of songs, but...so what? Why not? Just do it!!! I had Flower in there but I took it out. Oh well. Love, Amy Then Jewel could be on the front of the album looking like Madonna on the cover of MUSIC wither her cowboy hat and guitar, but a thousand times sexier. I think Madonna is trying to steal Jewel's look. They're really good.. It's a group from Wales that hasn't hit it big (yet) in America.. The lead singer's name is Cerys Matthews and her voice is beautiful.. It has an accent that makes her sound similar to Bjork, and her tone is very rich and powerful.. Their song "Road Rage," which I love, sounds kind of like a Heather Nova "London Rain"-ish song.. In America, where must of us on the list are based, they have a CD, Equally Cursed & Blessed, that's very worthy of a good listen.. Clips are availabel if you search for the group at cdnow.com.. Hi, I was just wondering about everybody's Jewel concert experiences. The day I went to her concert in Toronto was probably the best day of my life. It was my sixteenth birthday and I was really upset because my parents hadn't gotten me anything. I was really cranky, and when my mother told me to get into the car, I didn't want to. But I did, and she wouldn't tell me where we were going. We picked up my best friend and apparently she knew of the plan all along. We drove to Toronto, and I thought that we were going to go shopping or to Ontario Place or something. We spent the day wandering around, then walked to the Air Canada Center. I was still clueless until I saw something about Jewel on a sign on the building and I freaked out and started shrieking and crying, much to the crowd's amusement around me. I had had no idea that Jewel was coming to Toronto. It had always been my dream to see her in concert. I sat through TWO AGONIZING HOURS of openers and was going crazy with anticipation. Steve Poltz kept mentioning things about the "lovely Jewel" and even though I was enjoying him I wished he would get the hell off the stage already! I had to go to the bathroom the entire time but didn't dare in case I missed her come onstage. When she finally did, I thought I might faint. Literally. It was dark and then the spotlight caught a bit of her pink skirt and I felt like I was going to pass out. When she started to sing I was so overwhelmed, it is indescribable. I just cheered and screamed my lungs out the entire evening. She was SO GOOD. My mom and friend hadn't really been fans but were converted to full-fledged Jewel-lovers during the concert. My mother was dancing like a maniac, which was kinda embarrassing. It was just the best night ever. I was on such a high after the concert that I couldn't sleep for hours. The sad thing is, I don't remember much about her performance because it all seemed so surreal to me at the time. It's just a blur. I do remember her singing "Carnivore" and looking at a TV on one of the balconies and talking about what was on. I think it was ER. Wow, this is really long. Sorry. I like to ramble about Jewel. It's what I do best. What are your fantastic Jewel concert experiences? Emily Get email at your own domain with Yahoo! But I had to tell you guys about a fellow EDA who's poetry has just been published. Zachary Flategraff is one of my closest friends (Thanks to our EDA list)--He Instant messaged me after I posted something about the Jewel concert in St.Paul that was to be the next day.--And now its all history! (Its funny how fate works that way...Meant to be I guess.) He's a wonderful poet (Especially at only being 17) and to have a book published at such a young age is extraordinary! If you guys want to check it out, it's only $10.95 and you can order it at any Barnes and Noble or theres a website you can order it from as well. It's always fun to see a fellow EDA's work because you "Know" them in a sense. He was too bashful to post it himself because he feels like he's grown so much since the book was pubished and he knows he can write even better stuff! (Perfectionism can be a good thing I suppose!) =) Here's the info if anyone wants it, E-mail me if you have any questions. Title: Transcending the stars Author: Zachary Flategraff ISBN: 0-595-16933-3 Heres the site: http://www.iuniverse.com/marketplace/bookstore/book_detail.asp?isbn=0%2D595%2D 16933%2D3 Seriously guys, its a WONDERFUL book...I would have never known this guy if I hadnt been a part of the EDA list and I've been forever grateful since, and now I couldnt be more proud to know a 17 year old published poet. (Who just happens to be the greatest guy ever besides!) Okay Jade...Enough Rambling I'll hopefully post something soon, talk to you all later ~JADE~ (The poetic-ly inclined angel) ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V6 #121 ***************************
