I personally think she should be chosen each time they do it. I don't quite understand what they are basing their judging on, but it seems to have a lot to do with the current popularity of that person. I know this is stupid and shallow. I know. But I think that Jewel is incredibly beautiful. Of course, I am also incredibly biased, so I am not much of a judge. But my mother, who is an artist, a wise old woman, and much less partial than I am, also thinks she is one of the most beautiful people she has ever seen. The says that the features and proportions of her face are, in her words, "sculpted, interesting, stunning." I know this sounds shallow and petty but I have this strange urge to have everybody think that Jewel is as amazing as I do. I just think she should be one of those people. I want the people at People Magazine to acknowledge her amazingness. Please don't think I am crazy. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 11 Mar 2001 20:31:50 -0500 From: Mike Connell Subject: Re: [EDA] People Magazine's Most Beautiful People Eva (not crazy) wrote: >Has Jewel ever been named one of those people, and if >not, why the hell not? {snip} >Please don't think I am crazy. I am not 100% sure which list she made, but Jewel WAS featured in one of People Magazine's special editions. I THINK it was the "Most Intriguing People of 1997", rather than the "most beautiful" issue. It was when her first book came out..and they talked about her writing poetry and her singing career. I have the pictures on my wall!
