That's the only picture I've seen in awhile-but couldn't it be possible that the dress makes her look thin? A design on a piece of clothing can fool the eye. That is why people wear certain colors and patterns. To accentuate a certain feature while hiding others Personally I feel she looked stunning the way she was. If she chooses to lose weight I back her decision as long as it doesnt affect her health. I havent watched in years. I have a few things to say anyway. The Elton John/Eminem duet-just shows music's power- It brought two opposites together. As for Eminem, I think he has talent. Im against censorship- so he has a right to say what ever he wishes, but just because you can say something doesnt mean you should. Although he has talent he is also a foul-mouthed, belligerant, homophobic, elf. (he looks like one to me-how about you?) This CD features many of Cindy Lee Berryhill's best released songs and the performances are phenomenal. It's an album that continues to improve with age, which is extremely rare these days. Unique combinations of instruments playing great melodic and harmonic arrangements to some of CLB's most adventurous material. It's in my top ten albums of all time. I'd also suggest "Living Room 16," which was recorded at the 16th Living Room Tour gig in a home in Los Angeles. It's just CLB and extraordinary cellist, Renata Bratt. This album features some stripped down Garage Orchestra tracks performed live, as well as several otherwise unavailable tracks. It's one of the best nights of the LRT and truly captures the spontaneous humor and intimate nature of these legendary shows, most of which took place at the homes of EDA listmembers. CLB is our current featured guest artist at www.jeweljk.com and you can sample some tracks from LR16 there. There's a lot of good info about all her albums (more than three, by the way) and links to everything you might be looking for. Currently, CLB is working with Tegan & Sara, a talented Canadian duo that you will soon be hearing about (if you haven't already). They're beginning to get a lot of recognition lately. I don't think Jewel really looks any thinner at the Rod Stewart thing. Some of you may just be noticing the dress...the style of it could make her appear to be slimmer, but I really don't think she's lost alot of weight. I'd be surprised if it's even 5-10 pounds. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 23 Feb 2001 12:26:32 -0600 From: "Kristie Biggs" Subject: Re: [EDA] thinner? I have to agree with Derrick. If you look at her arms you can tell she hasn't lost any weight, not that her arms look fat mind you! I certainly don't think she needs to lose any weight. I've recently lost 25 pounds (I'm proud of myself, sorry! =-) and you can tell it in my face, stomache, legs and ARMS. As a matter of fact it's one of the first places people started commenting on. I'm sort of built like Jewel, so I would think if she lost weight it would tend to be in the same places as myself.
