But to tell you the truth, when i first heard Jewel back in 96 it was cool but i didnt really care for her. She was cute, but she looked a lot different. her music was ok, but it just didnt appeal to me. Then around 98 a friend had a tape of POY, so i started to listen to it, and it just touched my heart, i could see my self in jewel, what i went thru, my heart and hers as one. just how sweet and silly and cute she was, and her incredible voice. and i saw the picture in POY and she was a very cute blond. And as the years go by, she keeps looking better and better. This didnt make me a fan, but probable helped out a little to keep me as a fan, and to be hey she is a cutie, i would be in heaven if she were my wife, she to me is the perfect woman. Her personallity, her voice, her heart, her looks, the whole package. Also with the recording industrie, if they couldnt market her, then how long would she last? Look at Meatloaf, took him 20+ years to get to the top or where ever he climbed to. Also someone meantion Johnny popper from blues traveler they have been around for years in the 80's and 90's till they got a break.....What did jewel do, quite her dead end job, lived in her van, played coffee shops then in a short amount of time she was a hit! Yes she is very talented! i think she is one of the best, but i know a lot of people my self that are very good, almost compareable to jewel, but they dont have the looks, so they have to work at it Harder. Sorry to post again, i will make this short. i dont cuss, well i try not to, and it usally doesnt come out in my speach. i use to have the filthy mouth and mind, in the gutter 24/7 not many people i know could compete with me. I just grew out of it, if i stub my toe, i say Ouch! i might slip and say Sh*t or something sometime, but its not usally in my Vocab. Also i think cuss/ swear words are just ugly offensive words. some in some context not too bad or offensive, but overall and in certain meanings they are. Its OK, and COOL and HIP for a Black man to say the "N" word, or to rap about that and to call eachother it, but if a white boy like me says it, i am a racist. That use to be BIG in my vocab about 10 years ago when i was all into NWA, and 2 live Crew, Ice Cube, and all that stuff. now its offensive to me to say, and to be around, if people have gutter mouths then i just try not to be around them that much, cuz i dont want to listen to that stuff all the time, but if someones stubbs there toe and says SHOOT instead of Sh*t or what ever, the word it self is not as ugly, but then you could get to the intent of the meaning.
