I can't agree more that one shouldn't spread fake (or even real) nude pictures of whoever. However, sometimes I wonder if artists like Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, the Backstreet Boys, etc. would be as successful as they are if they were big, fat and ugly. I've heard some artists (male and female) that are very talented but they are not commercially viable as they don't offer a good enough image of themselves. They can only perform in small clubs where the audience really cares about the music and not the look. Some of those "great looking" artists are one-time wonders and the talent makes the others stay at the top. Jewel is a very talented artist, no doubt about that, and I hope she will keep on doing great music. But let's face it, being good looking does help a bit to be famous and sell records. It's part of the "package" and the "dream". "Titanic" wouldn't have been as successful if Leonardo di Caprio and Kate Winslet were ugly. For one, statistically the percentage of straight jewel fans is a little lower than society as a whole. And I really don't think anyone on this list is 100% accurate in their posts. And I'm sure I won't be either. But here are my thoughts about it all, and what I feel I know, and can assume quite accurately...correct me if I'm wrong, anyone. 1) Jewel has never posed "nude"...for a publication that is. 2) Therefore, there's about a 99% chance or greater this picture is a fake. 3) I have seen fake pictures of Jewel and other artists, and most of them don't even really look like the person anyway. 4) Jewel IS quite sensual, and sexy in several ways. 5) Jewel HAS worn some sexy outfits (dresses, skirts, etc.), such as her gown worn at the Grammy's a few years back. 6) THOSE pictures are public, and yes, with the right lighting, some of Jewel's "Jewel's" are pretty noticeable. However, this still doesn't qualify as a nude or even semi-nude picture. 7) WOULD Jewel pose for something like this? Who knows? But I tend to think she might...only because I think there's another side to Jewel many of us don't know...but at the same time, many of us suspect, and have for quite awhile now. 8) Until that happens though, who really cares about some fake pictures going around....the only one who should, if anyone, is Jewel herself. If so then she can take measures to put a stop to it. If she doesn't, then it's doesn't matter. 9) Jewel is attractive. People are aware of this. The media, especially. Sex sells. Atlantic isn't stupid. If Jewel looked like Janet Reno, you think PoY would have gone 11x platinum? Maybe in an unbiased world...but unfortunately, this isn't the case. So yes, her looks DO help. Granted the talent has to be there too...but looks DO help. To deny this is being ignorant. Most people just won't admit it though. Would I look at a nude photo of Jewel if there was one? A real one I mean....SURE! And I'm sure just about every single person on this list would too...if nothing else, just out of curiousity. Of course there will be some who won't, but there are even more who will, but will say they won't. And *those* are the hypocrites.
