Hi all, I guess speculation is futile, but what the heck! I can't help wondering at this time which way Jewel's next album will take her. I'm listening to Eva Cassidy 'Songbird' right now, i would be thrilled to hear an album of similar quality from Jewel (perhaps with a more acoustic edge), it would bridge the gap between PoY and Spirit so well. I like Jewel as a rockchick too, songs in the style of 'Down' and 'Love Me Just leave Me Alone' would also fit. But what do I know?!! oh, and how about a rap or dance collaboration, o.k. its probably not going to happen but look how it's helped Dido and S. Mclachlan. I think her Unplugged version is the greatest of that song with Joshua Redman but it's such a well written, well played song. I'm a huge fan of all her music and Joshua Redman for that matter, but that one has stood out the most since the first time I heard it. A close second would be Carnivore, Flower and I just got the StoryTellers song from VH-1, I thought it was called "Fly to me Angel" but I've recently heard other names for it. Anyway I love that song too, but LDR is my favorite though.
