I've been downloading (ahem) recommended music, trying to see if I like it, and broadening my liking of music genres and stuff. Who knew Faye Wong did a cover of "Silent All These Years"? Like, dude. Well I'm not saying it couldn't be worse... but it was enough to make me upset. First I got the new computer... well that's a good thing... but it took me a while to get it running like it should... not to mention that I got the wrong connector for my modem... so I was without internet for a couple of days... imagine my surprise when I finally get back on to find that my old e-mail address doesn't work anymore... first I thought it was just a phase... it happens from time to time... but no... a day later I started panicing and tried to save what I could since there was no notice or anything of failure beeing taken care of. So basically I lost at least two days worth of mail... cause it took a lot of work to resubscribe mailing lists, people I'm in contact with... and I'm sure some of you sent your charts during that time... what happened to that mail I don't know... maybe it bounced maybe it just got shreded... but here's the deal... For those of you who sent me your Top Album charts of the year ayntime since Wednesday, I'd really appreciate it if you send it again... in fact it's the only way to make em count (and by the amount of charts I got per day before that I'm sure that some did get sent during this time). The new address to send them to is romeantic@email.si I'm sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for understanding. FOr those of you who haven't sent in their picks for the Album Of The Year there's still time. If you don't know what I'm talking about... here's a quick summary: - - Send me a list of your favourite albums this year. - - You can list any number of albums... you can list 1 or 100... but - - only the first 20 (or less if there aren't even 20) will count. - - It is REALLY IMPORTANT that you put them in the order of preference since it makes a big difference if an album is listed as #1 or as #20. - - Every album must have a release date either in 1999 or 2000. - - send your charts to romeantic@email.si That's it! Cast your votes and make a difference... put your fave album among the best of the year... the margins at the top are small... but currently in the lead is an album that I didn't see coming... although I do own it and it's cool... but hmmmm... And that's the beauty of it... this isn't my call it's the EDA Album Of The Year... so you should be a part of it. - -- Have fun and stay beautiful Dr. RomeAntic, an angel with the worst stroke of luck and a flash of revelation "I maybe sound sarcastic A little masochistic I guess I don't have to like you To still be in love (Hell no)" Billie Myers ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 23 Dec 2000 20:12:38 EST From: Edafinfo@aol.com Subject: [EDA] Season's Greetings from the EDAF Season's Greetings from the EveryDay Angels Foundation! We hope everyone is having a great holiday season, however they celebrate it. In addition to enjoying time with your family and friends, we encourage you to take some time to consider if you are living your life to its fullest as YOU define it. If not, take steps to change it! *** THE HOLIDAY FOODBANK PROJECT *** Due to many of the local foodbanks having plenty of volunteers this holiday season, we have postponed the foodbank volunteer events until January, when they anticipate a shortage of volunteer help. We have tentative plans for weekend volunteer days in Rhode Island, New Jersey, and California. There will undoubtedly be EDA gatherings to coincide with these events, too. Let Amy know at aneufeld@edaf.org if you are interested in organizing a foodbank gathering in your area -- it's a grrreat way to start out the new year! Everyone take care, and best wishes for a happy, prosperous 2001!
