Where jewel writes about the fans following her around asking for her autograph, when she is trying to have a life? Seriously, Sure.... with fame comes the crazy fans who stalk you, but that does not make you obligated to chat with your fans every night after a show. I know for a FACT if I werre famous I would get sick of walking out the stage door, and come face to face with these screaming fans who're like "Ohmigod!! Look!!! It's kelly!!!! kelly!! Can I have your autograph???" Its rather annoying to see that happen. When celebrities can't even go out for a bite to eat and have all these fans following you. As an example... Remember Run DMC? Well one of the guys from it (not sure of his name, so I'll just call him "Run"), well his dad lives in my town. So, Run was in town, visiting. Run comes to my store where I work, goes to the deli to get some fried chicken, next thing I know its buzzing all over the store.... "Run DMC is in the deli buying chicken!!!" So all the customers hear it. All the employees hear it. Everyone is running back to where Run is asking for autographs. Sure, he was polite, and signed some... but I felt so bad for him. He only came into the store for what SHOULD have been a 5 minute trip, and it ended up being FORTY FIVE. People would just not leave him alone! So finally he made his way to the checkout line, the manager came up to him and thanked him for being patient with everyone. But I could tell he was so uncomfortable.... like he just wanted to get out of there. But I did not ask for his autograph. I did not go all crazy when I saw him. Why? because he is a normal person who made a few records. And he deserves to be treated like a normal person. Well I went to my first Jewel concert, I have liked her for like 3-4 years but never have gotten a chance to see her.
