It's actually somewhat positive ... they said the book is a mixed back, but genuinely honest and that jewel is a good writer. they said they thought the book should've been a straight memoir because the best bits are concerning her childhood in alaska, which they described as "genuinely fascinating". i think what they're saying is that the originality of the book comes out of these sections. i dunno... it was quite a positive review. steve ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 29 Oct 2000 22:17:17 -0500 From: katherine h Subject: [EDA] Re: [EDA Project Problems Christmas is supposed to be a wonderful time filled with joy and that's what these gifts are supposed to represent. we are supposed to be showing Jewel that she has brought joy into each of our lives, no matter what it is that we give her or tell her. it is just a thank you. I can't believe that people are arguing over this and cursing. If people haven't committed themselves to your project yet, how do you expect them too, with all of the negativity that is surrounding it. at this point I would personally rather send my own card that she may never even see, than be a part of a project that project hatred and anger. But hey, that's just me.
