I speak for a lot of EDAs when i demand that many should use better judgement when replying to posted opinions. I receive several posts everyday from "the regulars" (you know who you are) that are meaningless, in that their replies are directed toward the individual who originally posted. What's more, many replies are way off the mark (i.e. have nothing to do with Jewel); this is one of the main reasons people unsubscribe. Having to go through and delete all the replies (which best be sent privately/not to the list) is a waste of my time. Please respect others opinions. Ah am just a fan who holds Jewel very close to my heart as Ah know many of you do. Ah remember when Ah first saw her on the television in my living room, the flickering image of her round face and blond hair while the sound of her voice rang beautiful in my ears, as Ah am sure it did with many of you. Hearing her voice back then made me fall in love with this artist, who sang about saving our souls while standing in a bathroom. From there, it was not possible to ignore this fair minstrel as she sang from city to city, gaining more fans and turning doubters into believers. Ah saw her go from playing bars to clubs to theaters to large outdoor venues, singing songs that weren't on her albums, and still aren't recorded on any albums to date. Ah saw her sing her sweet songs to fans who disrespected her, but still she would sing, raising one leg, looking like she had to pee. Ah saw how the stage lights would turn her soft yellow hair red or blue or green. Ah saw her expand her horizons to writing a book and acting in a movie, but still grounding herself by playing surprise shows with her old friends in San Diego. Ah saw this melodic angel rise from nothing, and garner the admiration of others. Ah became enamoured of this Jewel, just as many of you have, so you must understand my disappointment when it is reported how brash and crude she was when she met Ty. Now, if it was tongue-in-cheek or even not true, then Ah am sorry. If it was true, then Ah am still a little disappointed in her. But overall, Ah apologize for ruffling all y'all feathers. I decided to post today because I haven't done so in a long time. Most of you will remember me as the T-Shirt Guy. The one that put all his heart and spare time into making hundereds of EDA shirts and sending them all over the world to the EDA's that wanted one. I am writing because someone asked about the 2000 T-Shirt again. Quick note to everyone: I recieve the jewel-digest like many of you and when I get my mail I look at the topics of the Digest. If there is something about "T-Shirts" in it then I will read it...otherwise the the whole digest gets trashed! The reason for this is because I am just plain sick of all the crap that is said on this list and how irrelevant it all is to our "cause" as EDA's. Do you people even realize that Jewel "reads" all this??????? No, maybe not every single message but she will certainly hear about or topics of discussion. Jewel used to come to the people on this list for help and comfort because it was a place she could go to hear nice things and cheer her up. Do you think that could possibly happen now??? I still Love Jewel and I always will, and for those of you that know what I am talking about or can understand me, God Bless You, you know where I am coming from. So about those EDA 2000 T-Shirts. My wonderful design has not been approved and even if it was I don't have time to do it right now. I have twice the school load that I should this semester and I am still trying to hold down a full time job to pay the bills. I run on about 4 hours of sleep a day. I agree with Wesllow, I just wanted to add that another reason it's important to just ignore this person unless their post is of relevance, is because not only is he/she causing people to post to the list disagreeing with them, he/she is causing other EDA's to fight with each other over this stuff - I know disagreements can't be avoided - but *these* one's can if we all just regard this person's messages with caution - if it appears to be another "flame", just something to create controversy - ignore it. Obviously, anyone can and will open his emails, but ignore them if they are the usual "bait".
