Im sorry I bug you guys for lyrics. :) Oh and I LOVE Serve The Ego!!! This song is great. I love the tune and beat and everything about it. The only thing is that Jewel sounds a little whiny in it? Dont get me wrong, I love her voice, I just dont think either this song does her justice, or she wasnt performing vocally wonderfully that night. What does everyone else think? No, contrary to gossip and tabloid rags, Jewel is not engaged. #2. I'm happy to be bombarded by email inquiring about how best to continue the EDA/HGH/Clearwater project, started last year! Your efforts culminated in the opportunity to begin building a Clearwater Project location to assist the people of Gualsea, Honduras. (Honduras is on the East side of Guatamala, which is just South of Mexico. This specific location was funded through generous EDA donations combined with your efforts helping Jewel win the "Smooch For A Cure" $25,000 prize for Clearwater Project.) I'm sure Clearwater/HGH/Jewel would all be thrilled to have EDA support of this location continue and I'd be honored to check on it for you. Please give me a few days. I'll talk to Shane Kilcher and find out how best to do it this year. Good timing too! We'll be educating you about the Gualsea location very soon. Thanks for all the interest in this! I don't think I should be the only one to decide.. so i was wondering 1) what does everyone think about it , and 2)is that possible? (alan?) I would have to photocopy pictures and names together and put them on the card. (which is fine with me) i would need a few people to help me probably too, if not EDA's, then my own friends. I live in Raleigh, North Carolina..so if anyone wants to help me put it together.. after we decide if we are even doing this.. let me know. any other ideas are still welcome too! thanks katie *the theater angel* ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 23 Oct 2000 23:46:02 EDT From: EastAngelEDA@aol.com Subject: [EDA] NJC: Steve Poltz Hey everyone, Steve Poltz is touring with the Rugburns on the Dash Rip Rock tour, and he will be in Cleveland, OH, on November 11th. My boyfriend and I are going, and were wondering if any other EDAs had plans to go, or would like to make plans to go. We live in Cincinnati, OH, it is about a 4 or 5 hour trip from here if people from here or around here want to get together and head up there. Just let me know privately, relatively soon, as I want to book the hotel room(s) this week. We were thinking of going up on Friday, seeing stuff that night, going somewhere like the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Saturday afternoon, seeing the concert Saturday night, and heading home on Sunday. The concert is $8 I believe, and it is an extra $2 at the door if you are under 21. You can put in a search on Yahoo for "The Grog Shop" and see more about it, that is the venue they are playing at. Sounds like a lot of fun if people want to join us, the more the merrier! Personally i say do it with a scanner and then print it out with a reallly good high quality printer. Also people could just email there pics too. But what ever you guys decide is cool. chandini ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 24 Oct 2000 00:25:09 EDT From: Wesllow@aol.com Subject: [EDA] The Card Idea*** Hi everyone, Well I've been thinking more about the whole collage idea and really i think it will probably too hard to do the whole Picture thing, actually i think the whole name thing would be almost equally difficult since there are so many Edas i was thinking maybe toning it down by having people mailing in "Postmarked" tops of envelopes they have received then collage all the postmarked things together to where there will be postmarks from all 50 states and even foreign countries, that way jewel can see how much she is appreciated worldwide, plus this really fits in with the new item in the jewel store (the travel book thing) well anyway we could collect them all up and make them all different colors and use that as the background and then add a few photographic images of "scenic" places that we and jewel can connect with {I.E.- A forest, Alaskan wilderness, urban California, a beach scene) and then maybe on the front of the card we can do some type of new artistic symbol and give her a short, but meaningful message on the inside anyway that's what I've been thinking...it wont be very hard to do yet it give great results, anyway that's my 2 cents and post or email me with what you think - again i like the ideas about he pictures and names but i think we have just grown too large :) have a great Day everyone! I was disappointed that Jewel was not included among the rest: Amy Grant(who has Jewel's same Taylor 912-C guitar), Melissa Etheridge, Ann and Nancy Wilson, Cyndi Lauper, Wynonna, and Sheryl Crow. Quick question for all early fans: Didn't Jewel sing a duet with Melissa E. on M.E.'s "Sleep While I Drive?" Amy Grant sang with her this time....
