I am surprised to see Shania Twain at #7.That is *pleasantly* surprised, so if you were going to tell me that I suck and Shania is great then hold your friendly fire :P. I don't think anyone's done this yet.. correct me if i'm wrong.. But i thought i'd have a go at writing down the lyrics to "Shadows Play". Thought it'd make a nice break to the incessant idotic bickering anyway :) SHADOW'S PLAY Kiss me now, and take me down, my love Open up the tender flood of love Like a bird, you'll feel my heart inside Beating with the rhythm of the tide I'll raise my mouth, just like a glass, you'll drink Tangerine lips and water deep Rising up, I feel that ancient song Playing to the rhythm of the dawn What theme would you say [note: this line i can't really figure out] When words aren't in the way In the darkness I can feel you Shadow's play Strange, how now I'm jealous of the day As the dawn carries you away But when nighttime spreads it's starry wings For you alone, I sing Oh I feel, oh I feel what you're saying When words aren't in the way In the darkness I can feel you Shadow's play Shadow's play - ---------------------------------- There ya go. Hopefully i did an alright job of that :) It was a good excuse to take a break from reading history books on french historians anyway! P.s I went to the Ricky Martin concert in Auckland last weekend, and it was bloody amazing!! Ricky sounded great, he definetly LOOKED fantastic, and his stage show just blew me away - there were moving walkways, and platforms that raised him and other's up in the air, people abseiling down huge video screens.. wow, it was just sooo cool! Oh, and i knew Ricky could dance, but seriously, NO ONE can shake their bon bon quite like he can! LOL. The audience even had to boogy away in the rain, but we didn't really care since the concert was so good! If any of you get a chance to go see him, you definetly should, it's well worth it. :) Did anyone else go to one of his concerts? (i think he's been on this tour since 1999 some time..) Sorry, sorry, but i just HAD to mention that... i'm still on such a ricky-buzz!! Hmmm talking about Ricky Martin is a bit of a huge tangent from anything Jewel-related.. but hey, judging by the list lately, i didn't really think it'd make much of a difference! If anyone else saw Rickacious on tour i'd love to hear your story - so swing an email my way baby! HGH is. it is that simple. i don't know that much about the EDAF even though i have worked with the founding members on a couple of projects, and they are amazing people. but i do know that the EDAF was founded to be a vehicle that we, as EVERYDAY ANGELS, could use to help jewel change human habit. i do know that HGH is an umbrella organization that works with other foundations, including the EDAF. i know at the bearsville reunion last year the two orgs met and discussed projects. so you can be assured that HGH is in favor of EDAF. and you can bet jewel knows about it especially since amy talked to her about it on national television! i know that you guys want to be reaching jewel as well as helping people, and this is a perfect way to do it. in a lot of ways it will make more of a difference than donating to HGH (which you should do also if you feel so inclined) since it is an independent project. so what do you guys think? should be donate to our OWN foundation this year and work on projects at a local level to make the small differences? LUNA get a taste of religion, lick a witch :-) ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V5 #361 ***************************
