I'm playing at the ORANGE BEAR Tuesday, OCtober 10th at 7PM. I will be followed at 8pm by the lovely Meg Braun, who is doing a set till 9. She's a talented singer songwriter from Ohio who I met at open mikes. She's very sweet, and is just starting to play out in NYC. I've just started playing out not too long ago as well. So, come and have some fun at the Orange Bear tomorrow, and enjoy the sounds of lovely voices singing acoustic folk. Hope to see some of you there! Amy P.S> Orange Bear is at 47 Murray Street. The 1 or 9 to Chambers will get you pretty close. If you need more info, send me an email and I can give you exact directions, etc. _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. Well, part of her not having the same band could have to do with this....A few nights ago I went and saw Emmylou Harris in Denver. Guess who was her band? The bassist and drummer that Jewel had on tour. I gues they are known as SpyBpy and they are touring with her now. Maybe they will go back with Jewel after the tour? Hi all, I'll mention this in an upcoming JeweLink as well, but since I know all you EDA traders and live recording collectors are anxious for this info, I'm letting you know now. I've added all the recent setlists to Jewel's website. They are all complete and accurate, including all of Steve Poltz's opener setlists. All I respectfully request is that those of you who take this information for your website, please credit where you got it from. To get to the setlist file, go to the jeweljk.com calendar. At the beginning you'll see a link to setlists. Click this and the calendar changes to the setlist file.(At the bottom of setlist file, you can click back to the calendar file.) All songs are listed, but I didn't include the long stories and humorous interludes between songs, of which there were many lately. For instance, at the first night at the Mountain Winery, following "Hands", Jewel told stories for a solid 16 minutes, before going into the next song! Many of the spontaneous "talking sequences" were longer than 5 minutes, but only song titles are included. See if you can spot the other NEW song that no-one has mentioned yet! Enjoy! Subject: [EDA] Jewel in NEW book! Just got back from the local bookstore, and saw that there are 2 pages about Jewel in a new book called Face Forward, by Kevin Aucoin. One page is a full-sized (approx. 11x14) color photo of her, close-up of her face (great shot!), and the other page contains text and a smaller b/w photo of her (full body). The book is very good quality and hardbound with thick pages. Other celebrities in it include Julianne Moore, Christina Ricci, Wynona Rider, and many others. I'm not sure if it's worth the $29.95 cover price, but for the die hard fan you may want to check it out. At least go to your book store and find a copy to browse through it. I wish there was someway I could just get the pages with Jewel on them...haha. Derrick PS...some of you veteran EDA's may remember another book called Making Faces, also by Kevin, that Jewel appeared in back in 1997 I think it was. That was another awesome photo of her as well, yet it went almost unmentioned on the list, as has this one. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 9 Oct 2000 18:23:17 -0400 From: "cymbaline" Subject: Re: [EDA] um.. hello?
